American Indians or Alaska Natives planning to attend law school in the Fall semester.
An intensive two-month program that prepares students for the rigors of law school; four law school courses; research, writing, and analysis. Classes are Monday - Friday;
Attendance is mandatory; Outside classes and employment are not permitted.
Participants do not receive academic credit but receive valid training for the study of law. There are no tuition charges to qualified participants; A small living allowance is available to students not funded by their tribes; Text books are provided.

This ten week program will take place from early June through mid-August.
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0; be enrolled and pursuing a degree in a college or university on a full-time basis; be a college/university sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student at the time the internship begins; be a US citizen or permanent resident; be a current AISES member.
The AISES Internship Program is a paid 10-week summer program that provides qualified AISES students with applied learning opportunities as well as a chance to explore potential federal service careers.

Grants are ordinarily given for one year following the date of the award.
The committee prefers to support the work of younger scholars who have received the doctorate. Applications are also accepted from graduate students for research on master’s theses or doctoral dissertations. The committee sometimes approves two awards to the same person within a five-year period.

Phillips Fund supports research in Native American
linguistics and ethnohistory (continental U.S., Canada). Must provide APS with copies of materials acquired during the process of grant-funded research (i.e., tapes, transcription, and microfilm). All information and access to the application portal available on website.
Average award is about $3,100; grants do not exceed
$3,500. Grants intended for extra costs such as travel, tapes, films, consultants’ fees, but not general maintenance,

Interns are paid $9 per hour. A travel allowance (up to $350) is available to help defray travel expenses. You may choose to live on campus for a weekly charge of $85 for housing and meals. Interns work a five-day week, Monday through Friday. Interns are not eligible for the Crow Canyon benefits package.

Fellowship supports a one-year residency at Dartmouth College. Scholars are expected to complete the dissertation during the fellowship and must have completed all other Ph.D. requirements.
U.S. Citizens planning careers in college or university teaching; taking the Ph.D. in any area or discipline taught in the undergraduate Arts and Sciences curriculum at
Dartmouth. Students who were born in Canada and eligible for the Title IV Federal Student Aid under the jurisdiction of the Jay Treaty Of 1794, subsequent treaties and U.U. Immigration Law are also encouraged to apply.
Supports graduate scholars for a year-long residency at Dartmouth and provides an opportunity for scholars who plan a career in higher education to finish their dissertations. The School for Advanced Research, Indian Arts Research Center (IARC) offers two nine-month internships to
individuals who are recent university graduates, current graduate students, or junior museum professionals interested in furthering their professional museum experience and enhancing their intellectual capacity for contributing to the expanding field and discourse of the museum. One position is open to a Native American Individual, while the second position is available to both Native and non-Native applicants. The interns will devote their time to working on IARC
programs, directed research and writing activities, and collections management and registration. In addition to daily duties, specific requirements including presenting a research paper at the SAR Colloquium Series; attending a national conference; assisting in the coordination and facilitation of one IARC seminar or symposium; providing tours of the IARC collection; and working on outreach initiatives to Native communities. If selected, the intern must agree to participate in interviews, photo sessions, video recordings, and an exit interview to document the intern’s experience.

There is one internship a year, beginning in July. Six month and one year internships are offered.
Currently a US Citizen or Permanent resident; currently enrolled in a graduate program or a recent graduate (up to one year); minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 for applicants who have not yet received a Master’s degree; some science background; and experience or education in one of the following areas: public health, epidemiology, public relations, health education, communication, science writing, statistics, social marketing, and/or journalism.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland, the largest of the 27 institutes and centers comprising the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is the Federal
Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. The NCI offers paid six-month and one-year internships in the areas of health communications and science writing to highly qualified students who are completing their Master’s or Doctorate degrees. These internships provide an opportunity to be a part of vital health and science communications projects.
HCIP interns are paid a monthly training stipend through a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA). Interns are also eligible to receive health insurance at no cost through the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES). Other benefits include paid government holidays, flexible work schedules, and transportation subsidies.

INTRODUCTION TO CANCER RESEARCH CAREERS PROGRAM

NCI will sponsor a two-day visit for ICRC participants to the NIH campus. During this time, the participants will have the opportunity to tour the facilities of the NCI and the NIH, listen to and network with research fellows, and potentially interview for an internship with NCI Investigators. Typically internships last about 10 weeks, and individual internship start- and end-dates are mutually agreed upon between intern and investigator. One-year post-baccalaureate internships are also available. Housing will be provided from late-May through late August only.
Must be from an underrepresented population or have a financially disadvantaged background, or have a disability; undergraduate, post-baccalaureate (up to two years), or graduate student; US citizen or permanent resident; minimum GPA of 3.2; good academic standing; at least 18 years of age; demonstrated research experience; able to participate in the February visit; and available for a full-time summer internship or one-year post-baccalaureate internship.

If a student is hired by an NCI investigator as an ICRC intern, he/she will work under their direction and in concert with other researchers, fellows, and technicians. Interns will have the option to attend seminars on topics related to basic, clinical, biomedical and behavioral research, human health, healthy lifestyles, and health disparities.

GRADUATE DIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

This fellowship is administered to students at participating SUNY campuses offering masters and doctoral programs.
Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, including Native Americans, accepted to full-time graduate or professional degree study at participating SUNY campuses.
To recruit, enroll, and retain students who have been historically underrepresented in SUNY’s graduate and professional programs. Fields leading to the master’s or doctorate degree are covered by the fellowship. Each campus designates a liaison; a listing is provided by SUNY upon request. Application information can be requested from participating campuses.
Awards range from $7,500 - $15,000 plus a graduate tuition scholarship granted annually to new students. (Individual awards may vary.)

SMDEP is a free six-week summer academic enrichment program for college freshman and sophomore students who are interested in the field of medicine or dentistry.
