VOIP CALLING TYPES
¾ Peer to Peer Calling (IP calling)
Æ We need to configure both systems on Public IP for peer to peer calling if both the systems are not in same IP Network.
Æ System A is configured with Public IP 203.88.142.219. Peer to peer table of system A is configured with Public IP (220.225.50.115) & extension numbers (401 & 402) of remote system.
Æ System B is configured with public IP 220.225.50.115. Peer to peer table of system B is configured with Public IP (203.88.142.219) & extension numbers (101 & 102) of remote system.
Æ When user of system A will dial 402 to communicate with user of system B, System A will pad IP along with 402. So, [email protected] will travel on the network. Destination will be decided by public IP padded with 402. Once it reaches to destination, Public IP will be removed & call will be placed on 402.
¾ SIP Account Calling
Æ We need to register in SIP proxy server to get SIP account. SIP Proxy Server provides SIP ID, User name, Password, Registrar SIP server’s URL/IP address & Port address. SIP Proxy Server controls all SIP calls.
Æ All SIP calls always route through SIP Proxy Server.
Æ System A is configured with SIP ID - 843361, User ID – 843361, Registrar SIP server’s URL/IP address – fwd.pulver.com & Port address - 5060.
Æ System B is configured with SIP ID - 843362, User ID – 843362, Registrar SIP server’s URL/IP address – fwd.pulver.com & Port address - 5060.
Æ User of system A will dial 843362 to communicate with user of system B. Call will be routed through SIP proxy server (fwd.pulver.com), where it will find SIP ID & status of system B. SIP Proxy server will controls the process & route call to system B
