covered include general portal benefits, identification of functions and uses of CampusCruiser, development of a strategic vision, recommendations for an organizational approach, and various roll-out strategies.

1. What is a portal?
A portal is an on-line community designed to organize
resources and information specific to your learning community through tools such as calendars e-mail, contact lists and course management. A portal enhances communication while integrating technology into your learning environment.
2. Will my proprietary information be secure?
Yes. CampusCruiser's™ single, high-end data center provides a secure and reliable system ensuring full-redundancy. Access to the servers is password protected and secure from
unauthorized Internet traffic by a powerful group of firewalls.
3. What are CampusCruiser™ minimum requirements?

4. I use Blackboard or Web CT. Why do I need both?
Although CampusCruiser™ is not a distance-learning site, it can be used in conjunction with any distance learning package or applications you are currently using. With CampusCruiser™, students have access to communication tools such as campus clubs, calendars and e-mail. Once a user is logged onto their CampusCruiser™ site, all features, tools and information are accessible.
5. Can I publish news for a selected or restricted group of people?
Yes. There are several options for publishing news to select groups. Individual message boards for clubs and classes are visible only to members of that club or class. You may also create a private club or class committee, which only allows invited members to view the club or class news. Your Campus Administrator can also restrict which users can view your Campus Message Board. Your school is always in control.
6. What does this mean for our college's Home Page?
CampusCruiser™ does not take the place of your college's home page. Your college's Web page is intended to act as your college's public image on the Web. There can be links to your college Web site on your CampusCruiser™ home page so they complement one another.

7. Can I access CampusCruiser™ from home?
Yes. You may access your CampusCruiser™ account from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
8. What does your company do with my personal
information? Can your company use my personal information for any commercial purposes?
CampusCruiser™ does not require that you give us any personal information other than your name so that we can create a login ID. We will not sell your information to anyone for any reason. However, in order to provide better service to our customers, we may release some aggregate user
statistics.
9. How does CampusCruiser™ interact with our Datatel system?
CampusCruiser™ and Datatel work together to automatically populate data within both systems. Users will be able to
access the school's databases through their CampusCruiser™ account, offering enhanced student services. Users can register for classes, view grades, receive unofficial transcripts, and access financial status.
10. Are logins and passwords encrypted?
Yes. Login ID's and passwords are encrypted via SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection.
11. Can students keep their e-mail after they graduate?
CampusCruiser™ can be a lifetime e-mail solution. We expect graduates to be moved from the “student” role to the
“alumnae” role. This can occur as long as the institution continues to use CampusCruiser™. They can keep their account for the lifetime of the CampusCruiser™ agreement.
12. How do students, teachers and faculty get their passwords and logins?
Campuses provide this information to their users.
13. What if I forget my password?
There is a section in personal profile where users can remind themselves with a pre-written question. For example, if their password is Smith a good reminder question would be what is my mother's maiden name?
