digidoc – Transforming Static Documents into Useable Information
The digidoc product uses “fingerprinting” identification‐like technology and advanced recognition services to virtually eliminate the entire “key from image” process. Advanced data extraction processes intelligently interpret document image information, recognizing the characters and symbols on the page image and enabling users to extract some or all of the data in machine‐readable form. The document images and extracted data can then be securely transferred to document‐management, workflow, ERP, or other applications via XML and other formats. This software application runs on all conventional hardware platforms and can read images from any document scanner or multi‐function device. digidoc reads structured, semi‐structured, and unstructured document images quickly and accurately and is capable of processing tens of thousands or even millions of documents per hour. Capable of creating and managing, nearly all of your document capture and processing workflows. digidoc allows you the freedom and flexibility to automate your existing company processes into an enterprise content management workflow. digidoc uses a variety of technological methods to recognize varying documents: • Capture ‐ Documents can be scanned and converted to images right out of the envelope. • Quality Assure ‐ High image quality is crucial to identifying documents and data. • Identify ‐ With the cleanest image in place, the OCR feature automatically identifies each document. • Process ‐ digidoc examines the image to separate data from "form noise." • Verify ‐ At the verify stage, a majority of the documents are already 100% complete and can optionally bypass human verification, going straight to output. • Audit ‐ digidoc also provides the ability to review the work of the verification operators, • Output ‐ Now that your valuable data is captured, validated and verified stacks of paper documents have been transformed into usable images and information.
ID Protect
The IMS‐21 ID Protect Module is a server based IMS‐21 Module that will automatically annotate documents to protect sensitive information. Account Numbers and Medical Record Numbers).
• Can run on an on‐demand or in batch process, either way, the results and level of protection are the same.
• Documents never leave IMS‐21. NO export, No import, NO duplication of data. • Each customer can tailor the keywords, number patterns and thresholds
independent of any third party or other customers.
• Quality Control is updated real time so the customer can monitor the results and start resolving document QC problems as soon as the first document is processed. Thereby, making adjustments, which may improve accuracy or automation, depending on the results.
ID Protect Dashboard Document before Document after completed ID Protect ID Protect (data protected) 17
18 Once ID Protect is installed and the Document Type is secured for Identity Protection, there is a five (5) step process that each document must go through before it can be viewed. Once a document is processed through Quality Control (QC), either interactive or batch, the document is not processed again and is available for viewing. The following Five Step Process is as follows: 1. OCR/ICR ‐ converts each page of a scanned image into a readable text.
2. Analyze ‐ cleans up the data, making it more readable and locate keywords and patterns which will indicate where the ID Protect information will be located on the page.
3. Extract ‐ matches various patterns of the ID information along with keywords and location.
4. Normalize ‐ normalizes and formats the data, eliminating extra characters and blanks.
5. Verify ‐ verifies and scores the accuracy of the data and location. If the verify concluded that this protects the ID information, it will export the information and redact the document.
Workflow Entry
The Workflow Builder and Application Builder can rapidly create and modify customized applications to meet your entire document and data management needs.
