The Anointing
It’s God’s will for you to be filled with the fullness of the Spirit. He wants you always filled with His Fullness (Ephesians 5.18-20). This is God’s project for you and God doesn't need your help but your cooperation.
When, you become so God-conscious, the Presence of God will take over and the anointing will produce signs and wonders in and around you.
Fear is the first result of self- consciousness, and Boldness is the First result of God-consciousness. Refuse to fear.
They were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke with boldness! (Acts4.31)
II Chronicles 7: 1, 2 - " Now when Salomon had finished
praying, fire came down from Heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house." In II Chronicles 5: 14 when the Presence of God came, the priests could not stand, in II CHRONICLES 7: 2 when the Fire of God came, the priests could not enter. Worship was in first place.
The
Thickness Of The Anointing
The Anointing is Tangible - you can feel it, you can touch it, you can know it.
In the Healing service you may felt a heat, you may felt electricity, you felt anointing. When you begin praising and worshiping the Lord, that stirs up the anointing because something happens in your spirit.
Job 29: 6: " And the rock poured out rivers of oil for me!"
When my life was thick in the Word, the Rock, Jesus, poured out the rivers of oil for me!
When you are faithful with the little, God will give you more and more and more. This means the Lord can increase the anointing upon your life as you use faithfully what you already have. Never quit hunger for God and His power in your life.
When we talk about the Anointing we are not talking about something we think is there. You can actually see the Anointing. Many times I've seen Anointing on people as a mist over people's heads. You can see it!
Feeling The Anointing
Everyone can feel the Anointing of God in different ways. Thank God we all know the same Jesus but we don't know Him in the same way. We all know the same Lord but yet we all experience Him differently. I'll show how the people of the Bible experienced Anointing.
Jeremiah 5: 14 declares: "Behold, I will make My Words in
your mouth fire."
The Anointing came on Jeremiah as a fire in his mouth. His tongue was as on fire. I feel my feet on fire hundreds of times; I felt my feet as burning.
Jeremiah 20: 9 says: "But His Word was in my heart like a
burning fire."
You can feel the heat in your chest. You can feel a kind of heat rushing through your body as fire inside of you. That is the anointing. There is a Tangible Anointing of God but people don't realize it.
Look what Daniel 10: 10 says: "Then suddenly, a hand touched me which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands."
I felt many times the touch of God on me. That's the manifestation of the Anointing of God on you.
Psalm 45: 1 declares: "My heart is overflowing with a good
theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer."
Your heart is just bubbling over, overflowing with anointing that you can speak and write.
The Anointing could be fire in your mouth, fire in your heart, or heat overflowing.
Acts 18: 5 declares:"Paul was constrained by the Spirit, and
testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ." There was as the
surge of the energy inside of him. Boldness came.
That is the Anointing and sometimes you will feel as the surge of energy is rushing to you. Your fear goes away, your mind became clear and your mouth will declare the Word of God!
Anointing of God is a real, genuine, and tangible experience in your life. And that anointing on you can be transferred on somebody else. I will show you.
Transferring The Anointing
Elisha had the anointing in his bones. It was so thick (much) on him that it took years being stored in his bones. So the body of another man was thrown into grave where Elijah laid and his body was quickened by Elisha's anointing. That was the anointing transferring.
The Anointing was transferred through man's bones. (II Kings 13: 21)
The Anointing was transferred through the hands of apostle Paul. (Acts 19: 11)
Acts 19: 11, 12 declares: "Now God worked unusual miracles
by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them."
The anointing can be transferred through a body as in Acts 19: 12
The anointing can be transferred on a piece of cloth. Mark 6: 56
"Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the border of His garment. And as many as touched Him, were made well."
His very cloth, His garment was charged with an Anointing of God. He told you”Greater works you shall do”. So if Jesus was charged with such an anointing so can you and I.
Peter had it greater and I'll show you one place how God anointed Peter to do His works.
The Anointing of God was transferred through the clothing of Jesus. Mark 6: 56.
The Anointing of God was transferred through a piece of wood. Exodus 4: 20
If the piece of dead wood would have an anointing – what about your human body. Even the shadow of Peter passing by has an anointing and healed.
"So that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them
on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them." (Acts 5: 15)
Whenever an anointing comes there will always be manifestations in the physical realm. Praise God!
Falling
Under the Power
Maybe it happens to you and you don't understand it. Why people shaking and shivering on the floor. These all are the manifestations of the presence of God and I will show it in the Bible.
In II Chronicles 5: 13-14 . The priests were under the power.
In Ezekiel 1: 28 declares: "So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice..." Ezekiel was under the power.
In Daniel 10: 10 says: "Then, suddenly, a hand touched me,
which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my
hands." Daniel was under the power of God.
In Acts 26: 14: "And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in Hebrew language ..." Paul was under the power of God when God spoke to him.
In Acts 9: 4 it is falling under the power of God when "Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice..."
When the power of God comes on an individual, the overflow of that anointing can touch somebody else as
God will not talk to you under the power of God when your heart is not seeking Him. Ezekiel was seeking God, Daniel was seeking God, and even Saul who was seeking to kill the Christians, in his heart was seeking to please God. And God spoke to him.
But there will be also these who will fall under the power of God but their heart was not with God. Their hearts may not be seeking Him but God in His mercy was trying to awake them up.
The
Increase Of The Anointing
Acts 1: 8 declare: "But you shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses unto Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and into the end of the earth."
The power of God is the anointing of God. So Jesus said “…you shall receive anointing of God after the Holy Ghost has come upon you”.
Only then you can do what God ask you to do and that anointing can increase from one level to another.
Why and when does it increase?
God want to move you from one level to a higher level. If you are filled with the Spirit of God, the power of God already resides within you and is in operation.
Every Spirit-filled believer has an anointing! But not everyone is on the highest level. The anointing can increase in such way you are not longer dealing with a little vapor or a drop of oil. God saturates your life and His anointing becomes like grease all over you.
But to encourage the presence of God in your life, and therefore the flow of the anointing, you have to lose your
desire, lose your Self-Consciousness Be filled with His Thoughs.You must decrease and he must increase. That’s why he gave you responsibility of being being filled with the Spirit. Because in His presence is contain everything you need. Quit praying: “Give me, Lord!”
How To Increase The Anointing?
The Anointing of the Holy Spirit is dependent on you! As a Spirit-filled believer, you have a measure of the Anointing on you. The seed of that anointing is already in you. Then it will depend on you, what you do with it.
Acts 1: 8 says: "You shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit
comes upon you."
You received that Anointing after the Spirit of God came to live in you.
The gifts are precious and valuable like gift of tongues so we can speak mysteries unto God in prayer. If you want confuse the enemy just speak with tongues to God and your enemy never will find out what you just told to God. For when you pray in English devil can listen and prevent your course what you asked God, (look on Daniel's prayer) but when you pray in tongues he can do nothing. Paul said that He is praying in tongues more than anybody.
The Power resides in you once the Holy Spirit will come upon you. And once the Holy Spirit is with you, that
anointing begins to increase!
First Key : Appreciate what you have
Never look what you got from God and say" It's too little. If you want to increase anointing on you, appreciate what you already have from God. Appreciate what you have.
Second KEY: Faithfulness
LUKE 16: 10 - "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful
also in much: and he who is unjust is what is least is unjust also in much."
Be faithful whatever God gives you is that key. Be faithful in your gifts and put it to use. Don't bury it, put it into use. Be faithful to little you have.
Third Key: Association
Acts 4: 13 says: "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and
John, and saw that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realised that they had seen with Jesus."
The anointing will increase by association as we see. Presence of Jesus has rubbed on them anointing of God. And Jews said: "They’ve been with Jesus." They realised that these men get more than just gifts and talents. So,
them, stay around them till anointing rubs on your life. As you remember when David flew with six hundred outcasts, his anointing made them giant killers, mighty man fighting for God. What happen to them. An anointing of David rub on them and they become mighty.
The disciples were with JESUS and they recognized His anointing. Association makes a difference. Moses - Joshua, Paul - Timothy and so on.
Associate with men who have an anointing! Association is so important because an anointing rubs on people.
Fourth Key: Poverty in spirit
Matthew 5: 3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their is the
kingdom of heaven.
Jesus said if you poor in spirit, My Kingdom of Heaven belongs to you! The word "poor in spirit" is opposite the word of "self-sufficiency" The word "poor in spirit" is opposite independence from God.
Isaiah 66: 2 "But on this one will I look: on him who is poor
and of contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word."
