1) About College:

DVVPF’s College of Physiotherapy is one of the leading educational institutes

of Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation Ahmednagar. It was established on 1^st July 2007

catering to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy. It is situated in Vilad ghat of Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. The college campus is spread over an area of 42.37 acres of land. The institute is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik and is approved under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) act, recognized by Govt of Maharashtra, Maharashtra State Occupational and Physiotherapy Council, Indian Association of Physiotherapy. It has been accredited by NAAC in 2015.

24) Extra-Curricular Activities and Sports

The College of Physiotherapy and DVVP Foundation recognizes that extracurricular activities enhance the social development and memorable experiences of students. Extracurricular activities may include arts/talent, athletics/ sports, personal skills,, hobbies and other pursuits."

Extracurricular activity means almost anything in which you are actively and productively involved.

DVVPFs College of Physiotherapy has organized extracurricular activities at institute level under the following domains:

1. Annual Sport event- Genesis- 2019: Sport event- Genesis- 2019 which included indoor games-chess, table tennis, badminton, carom and outdoor games-cricket, volleyball, dodgeball, tug of war, marathon. The outdoor games of the event were held at helipad, and indoor games were held at sports complex of Dr.Vikhe Patil foundation.This sport event was organized during the period 31 Jan – 3 feb 2019 for second BPTh to postgraduate students.

2. Physiotherapy week 2019 started from 3^rdOct to 6^th Oct 2019. To encourage students to exhibit their talents in Technical & Cultural activities like treasure hunt, debate, essay writing, quiz, paper presentation, dancing, singing, acting, fine arts, rangoli competition, cultural night, traditional day, mehendi competition, Fun and food etc.

3. Culturals program – ROCKTOBER-2019 was organised on 5th october 2019. The teachers incharge were Dr. Deepak Anap, Dr. Maheshwari harishchandre, Dr Archana Nagargoje. The committee members were MitaliWagh, Shrushti Shah, PratikshaGolait, Nikita Pattiwale. The guest for the day was Mrs. Dhanshreevikhepatil. The event was organised in APJ hall. Total 54 participants were participating in dance, singing and drama.

Show started with saraswativandana. Second performance was done by interns which had theme explaining the hostel and college life of 4 years. Solo singing performance was performed by many students. Duet singing was performed by final year. Dance-Drama based on women abuse was performed by 3rd year. Daughter- father relationship dance was performed. Fashion show was performed by 2nd year students and the theme was India’s different traditions.

Dj session was given to students for 20 minutes after program. After the program dinner was arranged for all students and staff. Refreshments were provided during the show like cold drink and water. The program was well organised and well appreciated by the guest.
