All dogs staying in rooms must be crated with plastic covering under crates. Registered guests are responsible for any damage done to the rooms. A damage fee may be imposed upon the room being inspected by a member of WGS and Hotel Management. This includes additional deep cleaning that may need to be completed upon check out.

Room Rate: $144/nite, free internet in each room. Each guest will be assessed a one-time, non-refundable $75 dog fee per room.

Cancellation policy: Rooms must be cancelled one week prior to check in. Any cancellations after that time will result in one room night being charged.

Note: In case of inclement weather at the show site the WGS committee & the Stamford Hilton Westchester may waive the cancellation policy.

Please respect the WGS crating area staff and help conserve space.

Trophies

Trophies and Class Cash Prizes will be given in the ring to the person showing the dog.

Claims for trophies and cash prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over and the Superintendent’s Office is advised at once. The Superintendents and show-giving clubs disclaim any liability for trophies and cash prize money after the judging of the breed is over.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE HOTEL STAFF OF STAMFORD HILTON, OUR HOST HOTEL WHERE WE WILL BE HOLDING ALL OF OUR WINTER GARDEN SPECIALTIES

Directions from Major Roadways

From the North:

Follow New England Thruway (I-95) South to Exit 6 (West Avenue). Turn left off exit ramp and make a left at the next light; merge onto I-95 North and proceed to Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue). Turn right at the traffic light and make an immediate right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance.

From East or West:

Follow Merritt Parkway/CT Route 15 to Exit 34 (Long Ridge Road/CT Route 104). Continue South on Route 104. Turn right onto Route 137 (Cold Spring Road). Follow Route 137; road becomes Washington Boulevard. Turn right onto Tresser Boulevard. At second traffic light, turn left onto Greenwich Avenue.

Continue under the I-95 overpass and turn right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance.

From the South:

Follow New England Thruway (I-95) North to Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue). Turn right off exit ramp and make an immediate right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance.

Directions from Major Airports

John F. Kennedy International Airport - New York

Follow Van Wyck Expressway (Route 678 N) onto Whitestone Expressway. Continue over the Whitestone Bridge onto the Hutchinson River Parkway North to the New England thruway (I-95 North) Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue). Turn right at the traffic light and make an immediate right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance. Travel time:

Approximately one hour.

LaGuardia Airport - New York

Follow Grand Central Parkway East to Whitestone Bridge. Continue on the Hutchinson River Parkway North to New England Thruway (I-95 North) Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue). Turn right at the traffic light and make an immediate right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance. Travel time: Approximately one hour.

Westchester County Airport - White Plains, NY

Follow Route 684 South to Cross Westchester Expressway (287 East) to New England Thruway (I-95 North) Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue). Turn right at the traffic light and make an immediate right onto First Stamford Place. Continue over the speed bumps and at the stop sign, turn left for Hotel Entrance. Travel time: Approximately 30 minutes.

The Hotel's Shuttle has not been running because of COVID but should be by January. Call the Hotel operator at 203-967-2222 information. Otherwise use a Taxi or Uber.

Transportation from New York City to Winter Garden Specialties

If you are interested in traveling from New York City to the Stamford Hilton in Stamford, CT all you need do is take an MTA Metro North train from Grand Central Station, 89 East 42nd Street, NY, NY.

Take Metro North New Haven line from Grand Central Station to Stamford Train Station. The ride is approximately 45 minutes. Off Peak rates are in effect Thursday and Friday leaving Grand Central to Stamford from approximately (9:00am to 3:45 pm and all day Saturday and Sunday). Check with the information desk in Grand Central Station for the exact times.

There are several different rates depending on the day, time, and how the tickets are purchased, i.e.

round trip regular fare or senior fare via the web or purchased at the station. Check with the information desk in Grand Central Station for further directions.

From the Stamford Train Station follow South State Street south for three blocks to Greenwich Avenue/First Stamford Place Entrance or contact Hotel operator at 203-967-2222 to arrange Shuttle pick-up (if available).

EXHIBITORS BRINGING BREEDS OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED IN THIS CLUSTER MUST BUY PREFERRED GROOMING SPACE.

CRATING AND GROOMING AREA: Crates and tables will not be allowed in the aisles. A set layout for the Crating area will be provided and we ask all exhibitors to conserve space and PLEASE STACK CRATES. NO SOFT SIDED CRATES. Please work together to conserve space. No

gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside the building.

No chairs will be permitted in the free grooming or crating area. Grooming tables in excess of 24 X 36 inches will not be permitted. The grooming of dogs in areas other than the crate section is not permitted. No outside food is allowed in the ballroom or adjacent grooming areas during show hours.

Please keep your area clean.

There will be NO RV parking allowed at the Stamford Hilton.

No generators are allowed and there are no hook-up facilities.

Unloading information

All crates, equipment and luggage can be unloaded through the lobby of the Stamford Hilton. There is a ramp leading to 4 elevators. The show site is on the mezzanine (2nd floor) or proceed directly to

your room.

For those parking in the Hilton garage (height limit 6 feet 8 inches) , there is an elevator from the garage to the Hilton lobby.

For those with many dogs and lots of equipment, there is a loading dock and large freight elevator available in the over-height parking area around the side of the Hilton. Hours & directions to the

loading dock/ large freight elevator will be published in the judging program. There is a smaller elevator available in this area as well. Important Parking Information for all exhibitors Parking height limit for the covered garage parking under the Stamford Hilton is 6 ft 8 inches.

Parking is $10 a night for the preferred areas of this garage (first two areas reached) , and no charge if vehicles are parking several levels down in the event parking areas of the garage. The event parking

area is accessible without going through the gated area of the garage.

Parking for vans, Sprinters etc & box trucks: Everyone with a vehicle over the height of 6 feet 8 inches must fill out a reserved parking form for WGS to know how many vehicles will require

alternative parking.

There are two options:

1. There are a limited number of PRIME spaces that are in a covered area beyond the loading dock.

These spots are ONLY for over-height vehicles. Fee for three nights of parking in this area will be

$150.

2. There are spots on the ramp leading to the loading dock which is uncovered for over height vehicles. The fee for these spots is $30 for three nights of parking.

Regarding reserved grooming: All grooming space inside the Grand Ballroom and immediately outside the Grand Ballroom in the Grand Ballroom Foyer is RESERVED grooming.

There is also reserved grooming available in The Glen (a room similar to the Town of Rye setups at the Westchester Hilton NOT as close to the Grand Ballroom).

Anyone bringing other breeds or dogs not entered at the Winter Garden Specialties who want to use our grooming area MUST pay for a reserved space. (If the dogs are kept in your hotel room there

is no charge.

In an effort to keep the host hotel cleaner, Please remove all hair and trash from grooming area.
