Brief Summary of Position
Office Worker The Immaculata Sports Information Department seeks students to work in the sports information office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: writing/updating content for the athletics web site and publications, historical/statistical research, producing game day publications for distribution at athletic events, photo archiving and general office work. Strong communication and writing/editing skills, strong organizational/task‐oriented skills and attention to detail and accuracy are required, as is the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additional hours may be available to work events.

Broadcaster/Public Address Announcer
The Immaculata Sports Information Department seeks student broadcasters/announcers to serve as play‐by‐play and public address announcers at athletic events. Broadcasts are streamed over the Internet. Candidates must be well spoken, be able to adjust in a non‐stop, ever‐ changing environment and have thorough understanding of the sport(s) they are announcing. Candidates must be committed to their assignments and willing to assists in the set up and take down of equipment. Previous sports announcing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be extremely detail‐oriented and willing to work nights and weekends at athletic events. Candidates must be available to work most—if not all— home events for the sports they are applying to cover.
Event Worker (Statistician, Photographer, Writer)
The Immaculata Sports Information Department seeks student workers for game‐day assignments, including statistician, photographer and writer. Students will assist in recording/tabulating statistics at Immaculata home athletic events including: men’s & women’s basketball, men & women’s soccer, field hockey, volleyball, baseball, softball and men & women’s lacrosse. Students will also be asked to serve as photographers and videographers during events. Students will also have responsibilities postgame to write, edit and publish recaps following home and away athletic events. Candidates must be willing to do statistical training, have superior writing and editing skills, extremely detail‐oriented, have thorough understanding of the sport(s) to which they are assigned and be willing to work long, non‐ traditional hours, including nights/weekends. Candidates must be available to work most—if not all—home events for the sports they are applying to cover. Experience with camera and video equipment, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Statcrew programs is preferred but not required.
Athletic Training – Assist trainers in day‐to‐day activities.

Microbiology Lab Assistant
For Biology Majors in at least their Sophomore year. The Microbiology Lab Assistant will be responsible for the following: • Prepping cultures and media for several different microbiology labs weekly • Maintaining viable cultures from stock supply • Running autoclave as needed
• Ensuring sufficient inventory of media, reagents, cultures, and all other supplies • Maintaining a high level of organization within the lab • Ensuring that aseptic technique is used at all times in the lab • Assist in next class before graduating Training will be provided in the specifics of the job but an ability to work independently is essential. Lab coats and gloves must be worn at all times in this lab. Hours per week: 20‐24 (30 weeks per year) Research Assistant For any Biology Major in at least their Sophomore year. The Research Assistant will be responsible for the following: • Meet with faculty advisor to determine schedule • Assist advisor in experimental design as needed • Carry out experiments as directed by advisor • Make and maintain proper solutions as necessary • Maintain lab notebooks • Other duties as assigned Training will be provided in the specifics of the job but an ability to work independently and baseline knowledge of experimental procedures would be beneficial. Hours per week: 20 (30 weeks per year)
Biology General Lab Assistant
For a student in any Science Major. The Biology General Lab Assistant will be responsible for the following: • Assist in set‐up/break‐down of weekly labs as needed • Wash/dry/put away glassware • Organize labs • Assist in organization and tracking of chemical closet inventory • Assist in organization and tracking of lab supplies inventory • Other daily tasks as assigned Training will be provided in the specifics of the job but an ability to work independently is essential. Hours per week: 15‐20 (30 weeks per year)
Animal Husbandry Assistant
For any student with a genuine love of animals. The Animal Husbandry Assistant will be responsible for the following: • Daily scheduled feeding of all animals in the department (rotating with other students) • Design and implementation of appropriate habitats • Cleaning/changing of animal cages/tanks • General care/cleaning of animals • Animal “exercise” (play/roam time) supervision • Ensuring sufficient inventory of animal supplies (ie: food, bedding, vitamins, etc.) Training will be provided in the specifics of the job but an ability to work independently is essential. Hours per week: 30 (30 weeks per year, and 10 hours per week for 22 weeks per year)

The office/technology assistant will assist and support the faculty member/language lab director. The assistant will do typing and other typical office work. In addition, the assistant will help with clerical and

Tasks may include converting materials from cassette tape and audio record to digital CD files, leaving recordings and other files in the Soloist software in the lab, and creating information sheets for students and faculty on using the materials and programs in the lab. The assistant should have a good grasp of
manipulating, downloading, uploading and saving text, audio and video files.

GC Learning/Language Aide Lab Aides will assist and support students and faculty using the lab. Assist users with typical, day‐to‐day computer issues (logging in, accessing programs, printing, etc.) as well as be available to direct users to the appropriate foreign language or subject area resources. Oversee the use of the lab to make sure it is a comfortable working environment for all users and be responsible for monitoring the equipment/hardware in the lab to ensure all is working properly and will report any issues to the Lab Director. Monitor all lab supplies (ink toner, paper, etc.) and report to Lab Director when supplies are low. Will be friendly and outgoing, responsible and respectful. Lab aides will attend training sessions as required.
