The Master of Arts (MA) Degree Programs at RUFA have a duration of two years (120 credits) and were created to give young people specific skills and knowledge in the fields of art, communication, and design that respond to the expectations of the new artistic and cultural context. This qualifies RUFA as a creative centre of excellence where individual high-quality programs provide an historical and theoretical perspective along with operative methodological guidance, continuously updated in relation to the skills required by the new professions. Students are enabled to attain optimal learning objectives by working on a daily basis side by side with their tutors, who are always available to resolve any problems arising from the program. The organisational formula of these two-year program interweaves classroom learning with a period of training by public and private bodies, thereby interconnecting educational work with professional experience.
Professional and Training Connection.
The educational offer is based on practical, concrete study programmes strongly aimed at linking the student to the reality and needs of the world of work. This fundamentally important objective is attained by employing tutors who are professionally active in
the disciplines they teach and who are brought in to form and guide the students towards a tangible professional career.
Practical experience.
The Master of Arts (MA) Degree Programs give students the opportunity to gain practical experience both inside and outside the Academy by putting them in close contact with the world of the professions. Accompanied and supported by their tutors, the students are given valuable opportunities to participate as designers, assistants, producers, makers, and organisers in training workshops, seminars, internships, interdisciplinary projects,
exhibitions, conferences, competitions, and events. The teaching offer is divided into the different programs as follows: Design and Technologies of the Multimedia Space / Visual and Innovation Design / Computer Animation and Special Effects / Film Arts / Scenography / Sculpture / Painting / Graphic Arts / Decoration. All graduates and students holding a Diploma in Fine Arts can access these courses. The Master of Arts Degree is awarded upon obtaining at least 120 credits and is equivalent to a University Master Degree.

The RUFA teaches the student to master material and movement, and guides them towards full artistic expression based on practical training, solid cultural understanding,
authority, and personality, all of which are indispensable for each individual to develop their own creative language and find their own place in the world of Art.
This comprehensive education that students receive within the RUFA
Master of Arts Degree Program in Sculpture consists of studying specific subjects such as techniques, photography, iconography,
anatomical art, visual arts, and graphic arts within a clear, strongly multidisciplinary approach. Thanks to the high level of training given by the tutors, all of whom are active artists, the RUFA Sculpture Program provides the essential level of preparation that is needed for
Sculpture
At the heart of form.
As an artistic discipline, painting brings with it the possibility of combining passion with profession in a single, complete choice that unites life and career. By choosing the RUFA Master of Arts Degree Program in Painting the student receives high-level multidisciplinary academic preparation that enables them to manage to the full, in a mature way, all the techniques and knowledge that relate to the world of the Fine Arts. Finding themselves positioned at the centre of a dense network of multimedia knowledge and experience, the RUFA Painting student learns to work with digital applications for the visual arts, photography, and new media, following an innovative

gaining access to the art world, a world that is open, fluid,
and changing, and into which stimuli and influences are flowing from all the other sectors of human expression. The artist who has graduated from RUFA has a personality that crosses boundaries and has the ability to express itself with strength and recognisability, in any discipline of the contemporary Fine Arts.

pathway that is always up to date and works transversally across disciplines. The result is a complete artist with the ability to express their own creative language in any artistic discipline. Based on a high level of academic training, which is indispensable for giving depth and authoritativeness to the interior aesthetic of each student, the Painting Program at RUFA enables the young artist to fully realise themselves in the worlds of pictorial expression, the visual arts, and multimedia installations. The Painting graduate from RUFA can find a natural way to placements that enable them to use their talents in such fields as art direction, graphic and art publishing, exhibitions, galleries, and workshops.
As a multi-sided professional who works transversely between art and design, the role of the Decorator is fundamentally important in the creation of any architectural, artistic, or theatrical project. Thanks to the high level of academic training that is given at RUFA, the graduate Decorator possesses the ability to understand and interpret the meaning of every type of artistic setting and representation, and knows what is needed for constructing and decorating these works at every stage of their development. Thanks to an academic training that includes painting,
sculpture, and graphic arts, the RUFA-qualified Decorator enters the field as a key figure who is able to interrelate practical design and construction with the artistic aspect at the point where materials, lighting, structures, and scenic depth all interact. The Decoration course at RUFA offers access to a vast reservoir of knowledge about design, methodologies, techniques, and technologies that extends into a range of different subjects and topics. Wherever there is a need to learn and master plastic, technological, graphic, and pictorial languages, a space is created for the Decorator’s professional input, which finds its natural outlets in such areas of work as architecture, interior design, product design, exhibitions, installations, galleries, display spaces, art direction, urban design, and art representations.
Decoration
Between art
and design.
The RUFA Master of Arts Degree Program in Graphic Arts was created to provide a high-level academic training programme that brings together knowledge of technique, culture, art, and technology as required by all the graphics and Fine Arts professions. The fields of application for graphic expression are almost infinite, and the RUFA Program enables students to measure up to any task in art or graphics, using the skills they have acquired to recognise beauty and re-create it, using specifically targeted techniques and technologies.
Graphic Arts is a noble formal discipline based on ancient parameters and teachings; RUFA has added to it new technological studies that fully extend the range of professional opportunities open to graduates. By including technological and
critical disciplines such as photography, experimental chalcographic
techniques, and the phenomenology of contemporary art within the plan of studies, the course provides two years of specialist training that is based both on traditional and innovative methodologies.
Graphic Arts
Ancient practices,
modern methods.
Numerous fields of activity are open to the professional on graduation from RUFA: publishing, graphic design, photography, communication, art catalogues and books, the design of multimedia installations, and artistic or conceptual direction. Skilled in painting, sculpture, and decoration, the RUFA graduate is both a professional and an artist: full of talent, excellently equipped with manual skills, able to put their knowledge to work in the service of every aspect of art, communication, and publishing.
