The spread of globalization, as well as the emergence of social, cultural and economic interdependence among nations, have made project management a vital part of the way the complex development of our global paradigm functions and is managed.
The Global School of Project Management was created for the purpose of understanding and adding value to this paradigm, through the formation of leaders with the skills, professional culture, and credentials needed to ensure success in the projects undertaken.

We are the first university in Latin America to have a program accredited by the GAC (Global Accreditation Center), in both attendance and on-line (virtual)
modalities, and in two languages: English and Spanish. We were also the first university in the region to obtain recognition as REP (Registered Education Provider), since 2001.
Both accreditations are granted by the PMI (Project Management Institute), the world´s leader in the dissemination of the discipline of project management and the certification of professionals in this field. GSPM complements its didactic curriculum with preparation to obtain several accreditations from PMI and GPM (Green Project Management).

The importance taken on by information technologies in modern organizations drives our methodology of teaching to change and improve, in benefit to our students. The area of projects requires a learning-facilitating environment that is provided by the innovative techniques of the ICT´s.
On-line or virtual education facilitates and potentiates the formation of the distance learning student, breaking the barriers of time and space, since it enables a communication environment for the development of teaching and learning processes through information and communications technologies (ICT´s).
Based on the tendencies of modern learning, the Global School of Project Management offers the first and only system for graduate degrees, in different languages, in Latin America. Offered in an on-line (virtual) modality, our programs allow the student to maximize the efficient use of his/her time and investment as a professional.
Our on-line (virtual) learning production laboratory applies the best tools, designs and interactive concepts for teaching and learning, which lets us offer a unique, more effective, and successful educational experience. It is known (http://elearningindustry.com) that on-line (virtual) education helps information retention by 25%- 60%, as compared to conventional methods of education. It is also estimated that, by 2019, half of all university courses will be taught on-line.
Our students’ experience and the needs of our societies are the starting points for the design of our programs. “Interactive”, “mobile”, “flexible”, “inclusive”, and
“productive” are some of the outstanding characteristics of our teaching model.
There are opportunities for everyone. 50% of knowledge and professional tools become obsolete every 3 years, and 23% of professionals who resign do so because of a lack of opportunities to continue training in their work places. GSPM is not only the best option for learning, but it is also the most sustainable and green route to the future. 85% of the expenses for professional training are for transportation, energy, classroom materials, books, and other resources. Our on-line (virtual) learning platform reduces these expenses and turns them into benefits for the student. GSPM requires the participants in the Master´s programs to enroll and remain as active members (in student mode, at a very low cost) of the Project Management Institute (PMI). To celebrate the commemoration of the
recognition granted by the Costa Rican National Council of Private Superior University Education (CONESUP, for its acronym in Spanish), we hold a cycle of forums, activities, celebrations and recognitions to all participants who wear the insignia of GSPM in global projects.
Updating conference cycle
During the year, GSPM offers lecture circuits on a variety of themes, updating of PMI standards, and general topics on Project Management.
Project Manager´s Day
Once a year, we celebrate Project Manager´s Day. The School opens a space for on-line (virtual) conferences and offers recognition to the best graduation projects, the best professors, and the two highest scores in the final grade exams.
