Forum Location:

Villa Mondragone, an internationally renowned centre and the representative premises of the Tor Vergata University of Rome, is the permanent seat of the Italian Barometer Diabetes Observatory Foundation. This building has always been the setting of cutting edge innovation. It was the privileged venue of Galileo Galilei's telescope, and more recently hosted the experiments of Guglielmo Marconi, who performed in

the Villa his earliest radio communication tests that would open the path of microwave terrestrial communications. It is also the place where, in 1582, Pope Gregory XIII signed and issued the “Inter Gravissimas” papal bull to promulgate the new calendar that today is used throughout the world.
