Professor Francis N. Kibera holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration from University of Toronto, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Alberta, Canada. He did his Bachelor of Commerce degree program at the University of East Africa (University College, Nairobi). He has wide experience in research and consultancy in areas of strategic marketing, consumer behaviour, customer care, institutional development and capacity building. He has extensive experience of over 30 years as a senior academician in the Department of Business Administration, School of Business University of Nairobi.
He has extensively consulted in Marketing and capacity building with many institutions of higher learning including University of Zimbabwe, University of Botswana, University of Namibia, University of Zambia, Makerere University, University of Dar-es saalam, Kenyatta University, Presbyterian University of East Africa, and Africa Nazarene University to name but a few. Other clients have included the Ministry of State for Public Service, Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Kenya National Library Service, National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation, Kenya Roads Board, Kenya Meat Commission, Kenya Education Staff Institute, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Royal Insurance Company of East Africa, Kenya Utalii College, Capital Markets Authority, Ministry of Tourism, Directorate of Personnel Management (DPM),

Professor Kibera has a vast regional experience having handled management consultancy assignments in Botswana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Lesotho, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa. He has also studied problems and opportunities of transferring western management know-how to Kenya; challenges and prospects of female entrepreneurship in small-scale enterprises in Kenya; and institutional capacity of Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Railways Corporation, and the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
