The function of the Event Services Section is to plan and deliver a wide variety of events within Richmond Hill. Events include Canada Day, Ribfest, Concerts in the Park and the Santa Claus Parade.

Celebrate diversity and culture at Richmond Hill’s Tastes of the Hill, a multicultural festival that provides a great opportunity for visitors to learn about cultures and traditions from around the world; try international foods; make crafts from different places; visit animals from far away lands; experience entertainment, fi lm and fashion like you have never seen before; and discover new sports.

Tastes of the Hill will support Autism Ontario, York Region and celebrate Richmond Hill’s diverse cultures, so be sure to come out with your friends and family to this year’s exciting event!

Activities and dates are subject to change for all Richmond Hill events. Events are rain or shine.

The March of Remembrance will form at 10 a.m. at the northwest corner of Wright and Yonge Streets and will proceed south on Yonge Street at 10:30 a.m. All ex-service personnel are invited to take part in the March and residents are invited to attend the service. The service will take place at the Richmond Hill Cenotaph in front of the McConaghy Centre located at 10100 Yonge Street. If you have any questions, contact Daniela Fiore at 905-771-2466.

Richmond Hill is pleased to present the 2015 Richmond Hill Santa Claus Parade starting at the intersection of Yonge Street and Industrial Road. Residents of all ages are encouraged to come out and enjoy this favourite holiday tradition! Non-perishable food items for the Richmond Hill Community Food Bank will be collected. Children can bring their letters for Santa to be collected by Canada Post, too!
