Local Produce
Wanneroo is historically the ‘food bowl’ of Perth and market gardening still remains important today. It is possible at different times of the year to sample fresh produce, or even pick your own straight from the growers. Olives, mangoes and strawberries are always a favourite. Fine wines are also produced in the area and are available to purchase.Yanchep National Park

If you’re peckish, sample some sweet delights at Chocolate Drops tea rooms or eat in one of the park’s dining facilities. *see page 9

like the nyoongar people the new settlers used the natural resources of the ‘lakes districts’ to sustain them and by 1872 there were 60 new families in the area.
