DESCRIPTION

EFTPOS SWITCH has been designed to allow an occasionally used EFTPOS device to share an existing telephone line used for Voice, Fax, Modem or PAY PHONE use.

This will save the installation and ongoing rental costs associated with operating a separate telephone line.

EFTPOS SWITCH is transparent in operation and will not affect the normal operation of the telephone line that it is connected to.

Incoming and outgoing telephone calls to the line can take place exactly as they always have.

EFTPOS SWITCH will automatically connect your EFTPOS device to the telephone line as soon as it has been activated by the user, so that it can process the transaction.

An EXCLUSION FACILITY is provided to ensure that the other attached telephone device(s) connected to EFT-POS switch cannot interfere or

‘Barge-In’ on the EFTPOS transaction.

If the telephone line is already in use when the EFTPOS device attempts to initiate a transaction, it will be blocked from the line and will not be allowed access to the line until the line is free.

EFTPOS SWITCH is suitable for businesses that use their EFTPOS facility on an occasional basis.

EFTPOS SWITCH is provided with a 2 YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY.

PABX OPERATION

EFTPOS SWITCH can also be used with ANY PABX, Commander or other Multi Line Telephone System.

See Installation Diagram on page 7.

This is done by connecting the Telephone Line port of the EFTPOS Switch direct to an incoming telephone line, prior to the system controller.

The EFTPOS SWITCH port is then connected to the EFTPOS device.

The PRIMARY DEVICE port is then connected to the appropriate line input of the PABX, Commander or Multi Line Telephone System.

An EXCLUSION FACILITY is provided to ensure that the EFTPOS device cannot ‘Barge-In’ on a telephone call and a Telephone call cannot ‘Barge- In’ on an EFTPOS transaction.

If the telephone line is already in use when the EFTPOS device attempts to initiate a transaction, it will be blocked from the line and will not be allowed access to the line until the line is free.

It will be necessary to have this installation done by a suitably qualified Telephone Technician.

Please call (07)55965128 for further details.
