Greetings Superintendent,

As this unique school year comes to a close and you finalize your hiring plans for the 2021-2022 school year, it is also time to consider a plan to position your first or second year administrators for success. The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) and the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) are uniquely poised to assist these beginning administrators entering your district with support, professional development, and advocacy.

We are excited to share that we will again be offering the Administrator Mentorship Program (AMP), fully funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Education, which includes the following benefits for your new administrator:

• Paid registration to the OAESA/OASSA Beginning Administrators Academy (BAA) professional development events

• An experienced mentor to help them navigate their first year as an administrator

• 1-year professional membership in either OAESA or OASSA

• A $175.00 voucher for a 2021-2022 PD event hosted by either OAESA or OASSA

• Feedback and coaching support for the OPES 2.0 evaluation process with access to a 360 feedback tool

• Book for a book study with mentor

More details about the AMP program and the application are included in this packet along with the BAA agenda. Additionally, with so many changes in school leadership at this time of year, we ask that you complete and return the included form with the names of administrators new to your district.

Please feel free to reach out to either of us if you have any questions. Thank you for all the work you do for your students, your educators, and for your communities!

Sincerely,

Julie Davis, Ed.D.
