T HE C HIMES
Three chimes are sounded, awakening us to the presence of God, alerting us to the voice of Christ, centering us in the embrace of the Spirit. As we gather, we present ourselves “as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is our spiritual worship.”

R ESPONSIVE C ALL T O W ORSHIP : Libby Bertrand Leader: Companion God, we praise you for the grace which is always on
the move, from death to life, desolation to hope, famine to feasting. As we travel this road of pain and rejoicing, we give thanks that you go with us as our guardian and friend: that you have taken us by the hand and led us, giving guidance and support.
Congregation: Your presence travels with us: You will give us rest.
Leader: You have strengthened us for the work of faith, the labour of love, the steadfastness of hope.
Congregation: Your presence travels with us: You will give us rest.
Leader: you have made us imitators of your saints and disciples, and of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Congregation: Your presence travels with us: You will give us rest.
Leader: As we have received your Word with joy, even in the midst of our
suffering, you have revealed to us your ways.
Congregation: Your presence travels with us: You will give us rest.
Leader: we belong to you and you have shown us your glory.
Congregation: Your presence travels with us: You will give us rest.
ALL: through our example others have been encouraged and inspired.

*Invocation & The Lord’s Prayer Matt. 11:28-29 Libby Bertrand Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matt. 11:28-29).
Today we open our hearts and our minds to you God our creator- to remove every activity that has burdened us down or burnt us out. We are listening for your still calming voice to invite us into your gentle care. as we pray together the disciples prayer....: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. AMEN

For safety, the Pastor will direct as to when to remove our masks and when to put them back on.
For those on Zoom: at-home Communion is just as meaningful. Please bring a small serving of juice and bread to the room where your computer is so that you may partake when prompted, just as we do in the church building. If you are out of juice or bread, any carb and beverage will do.
