SKIDDLE IN A NUTSHELL
The Skiddle Rep network is a new concept in ticket selling which gives you access to your own network of ticket reps.
Whether it be friends, family, colleagues, performers, artists or sub-promoters you can build an army of reps, all of whom can sell your tickets (through our ecommerce platform) and earn a reward for doing so. Promoters have been doing this for years, but it can be time consuming and carry risks with distributing ticket stock and collecting money. The Skiddle Rep network removes the risk and time overhead for you, whilst also giving you access to loads of additional benefits. The Skiddle Rep network is currently in BETA which means we have not yet released this to all our promoters and is available on an invitation only basis. In return for participating we ask for your feedback on improvements we can make.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Reps sign in to Skiddle (or are invited by you if not already members) and are given their own ‘rep centre’ where they can view your events, get their unique tracking links, download promotional artwork for your events and monitor their sales stats.
2. Each rep gets a custom trackable link for each event. This points to the event page on Skiddle.
3. The rep can distribute this link to anyone who wishes to purchase tickets, whether it be their friends, family or people on their mailing list, facebook, etc.
4. When a visitor clicks the link a tracking cookie is set – this means any purchase for the event will be tracked for up to 14 days after the initial click. If a customer isn’t ready to purchase straight away, the rep is still credited for the sale, even if they return directly to Skiddle. 5. When an order is placed, it is dealt with in the same way as any other Skiddle order – with
full order tracking and customer service.
6. Sales are recorded in real-time in both your stats area, as well as the rep’s area.
7. Once the event has passed, you will be paid as usual, but we will deduct the commissions you have agreed and place these in a holding account – a full breakdown of any deductions will be shown on your remittance statement.
8. Reps then provide us with their bank details and we transfer their earnings into their account, along with a full statement of earnings.

GETTING STARTED
To start using our Rep System, your account will need to have this option enabled. While we are in Beta mode, please request this from Ben Sebborn ([email protected])
Once your Rep area has been enabled:
Visit your Promotion Centre at http://www.skiddle.com/promotion/
Add your event to Skiddle as usual, if you haven’t already (use the Event Listings tab once logged into the promotion centre)
Add one or more tickets to the events you wish to sell for. If you need more than one type this is fine, for example Regular Admission and VIP admission. When adding tickets, please select the commission you’d like to offer on each ticket:
None Available—nothing can be earnt on the sale of this ticket
Fixed Amount—you specify an amount that is earnt per ticket sold (we recommend around 10%)
Custom—if you would prefer to offer a ‘perk’ such as free entry, free drinks, etc you can enter that here instead.
Visit your Rep area by clicking the REP tab at the top of the page
Here you will see the events you added in step 2. You can now turn on Repping for your events by using the dropdown box.
Off—No repping allowed
On Auto Approval—Reps can apply to sell for this event and are approved instantly. We recommend this option to grow your rep team quickly
On Manual Approval—If you want closer control over who reps for you, this option allows you to approve or decline each rep when they apply
On No New Reps—Existing Reps can continue earning commissions but no new reps will be permitted to apply
The Set Commissions link that appears will let you change the ticket commissions you’ve already set The Upload Artwork link lets you upload flyer and poster artwork that is then made available to your
reps to help them sell more tickets for you. We recommend uploading at least your flyer artwork The Invite Reps link will allow you to enter email addresses of contacts you would like to invite as reps
for your event. These may be people who have already expressed an interest, friends, family, your existing mailing list, etc. They will receive an email invite with a direct link through to the Rep System. Invited contacts will always be automatically approved.
View Reps lets you see which reps have applied, or already joined your Rep Team. Here you can approve new reps, or decline their invitations as well as viewing stats for each rep
FAQS
Will the tickets also be available on Skiddle?
Yes, tickets on sale through the rep system will also be available to purchase through Skiddle in the normal manner. However you won’t pay us any commissions.
How are these orders dealt with by Skiddle?
Exactly the same as any other Skiddle order. That means full order tracking, customer service, etc. There is no difference – customers still get the same choices of delivery method, etc as someone who visits via Skiddle – we just ‘tag’ the order as being referred from a rep.
Can reps earn money on their own ticket purchases?
Our tracking system will not credit a rep for purchasing tickets for them self on their own account. This is to prevent reps just signing up to save money on their tickets.
Can a rep earn commissions on phone orders?
Not at present as there is no way of tracking which rep referred them. We can implement this if required with dedicated phone numbers.
Who pays the rep?
We do, on your behalf. We deduct the due commission you have agreed from your ticket money remittance, then transfer this to the rep on your behalf.
Who is the rep working for?
You. The rep is your sales agent;. We provide a service which allows the rep to work for you in an effective manner.
What about VAT, Tax, PAYE, etc
We have an agreement with you and the reps that earnings will be deducted from your ticket money and transferred to the rep on your behalf as payment for their work. These commissions are an expense to you and should be account for in such manner. It is unlikely that the reps will be VAT registered, so no VAT can be reclaimed from the rep commissions but you can treat the
commissions as a deductable ‘cost of sale’. There is no need to add reps to your payroll or PAYE system as you are paying them on a ‘performance’ basis (ie per ticket).
If I want to stop rewarding a particular rep, is that possible?
Can I see who my best reps are?
Yes, you get an overall leaderboard, plus an event-by-event leaderboard. This helps you see which reps are working the hardest for you
Do I have to give monetary rewards?
No, we realise that some promoters may wish to reward reps in other ways – such as free tickets, drinks vouchers, etc. You can set a custom commission in these cases. For custom commissions, we take no deductions from your ticket money and you are responsible for rewarding your reps, based upon the sales stats you can see in your promotion centre.
Can I contact my reps?
Yes, we have an email sending facility which lets you contact your reps, whilst protecting their personal details.
Can reps sell for other events too?
Yes, once a rep is active on our system, they can pick other events to sell for if they wish. This benefits you as it means you can also access a ready built team of reps who have previously sold for other events.
What happens if my event is cancelled?

Tickets sold via Reps can take advantage of any of our ticket types. The sales process occurs as with any other ticket you sell through us, you just need to decide which method to use.Why not skip the cost and hassle of postage with our electronic tickets?
E-TICKETS
E-Tickets are our most popular form of tickets. The customer is sent an e-mail confirmation after purchase and the only thing they need to do is bring their card that they used to your event.
When your ticket sales closes you will be sent a list of your customers along with the last 4 digits of their card number which can be checked on entry. We recommend this ticket type for the majority of events.
RAPID SCAN TICKETS
Print at home RapidScan tickets avoid expensive postage, eliminate ticket fraud and reduce queues. From single scanners for small venues, through to multiple scanners for festival entrance gates.
Realtime verification of tickets eliminates fraud and protects revenue.
Rapid scan is aimed at events selling more than 500 tickets. Ask about our free short-term or long-term scanner rental.

For events when posted tickets are required we can print secure tickets for you, or distribute your stock.
