About the programme

There are many information-intensive organisations that require strategic deployment of technologies and methods to support their operations and decision-making. Analysing, designing and

evaluating information services, which are delivered by information systems, are key success drivers for these organisations. Via the dissertation, students develop the ability to critically evaluate domain knowledge and skills within the scope of a practical project. Dissertations aim to be relevant, and linked to a practical problem identified within the Information Management research community. Considerable effort is given to identifying commercial projects that provide students with relevant work experience to support their future career.

This programme provides theoretical knowledge and practical methodologies and techniques as well as enhancing existing knowledge and expertise for those with professional experience. Students are taught using practical business technology consulting

frameworks and methods to enable them to embark on a business technology consulting career. This programme includes a one-week residential course at the Greenlands campus in Henley-on-Thames. When to apply

Although there is no formal deadline for applications, competition for places on all our postgraduate Masters programmes is strong, so we advise that you apply as early as possible. Overseas applicants (non EU) should apply well in advance of the start of term to allow time for their UK visa application to be processed. If you have any questions, at any stage, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Fees

Your fees will vary depending on your chosen Masters programme. They are normally paid in two equal instalments but arrangements can be made to pay for the whole of your programme in advance. You’ll pay a non-refundable deposit when confirming your acceptance of an offer of a place. This is part of your tuition fee and will be deducted from the total amount when you enrol.

Living costs

Please note that tuition fees do not include accommodation and other living costs. Students are advised to budget for between £160 and £240 per week depending on their accommodation charges. International students, who often need to allow for additional accommodation and living costs during three vacations are advised to budget for at least £12,000 per year excluding tuition fees.

Scholarships and bursaries

Henley Business School provides substantial postgraduate funding. We offer a competitive range of scholarships to students from all over the world.

Career development loan

Not quite at the required level of English language proficiency for your chosen programme?

Applicants to Henley Business School whose first language is not English will be required to attain the International English Language Test Scores

(IELTS), or equivalent qualification accepted by the university, as defined below, to enter a programme.

However, for students who successfully complete one of the pre-sessional English Language courses run by the University of Reading’s International Study and Language Centre, a halfband credit will be applied to their English language condition. Information Management

programmes will accept students with IELTS 6.5 and will also accept IETLS 5.5 providing the student has completed the relevant English course with us. MSc Informatics (delivered at Beijing Institute of Technology) accepts students with IELTS 5.5 and provides in-sessional English classes.
