Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification:

The starting point for every network engineer!

CCNA certification is the best foundation for an engineer who wants to acquire the necessary skills to configure, manage and solve any potential issues related to advanced networks.

CCNA certification qualifies you for the Associate level Cisco Career Certification program. Associate level can be seen as the basis for a network certification. The Associate level is ideal for network administrators and technical associates who have little or no experience with Cisco products and services, but who are responsible for the implementation and management of mid-sized business networks.

Various CCNA certificates can be obtained at Associate level: CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless, CCNA Video, CCNA Security, CCNA Data Center, CCNA Service Provider Engineer and CCNA Service Provider Operations.

CCNA certificates are valid for three years.

Assessment and Preparation

Global Knowledge recommends you make a proper baseline assessment in order to determine your current level of Cisco knowledge. The CCNA Cert Checker by Global Knowledge assesses your current extent of knowledge with respect to Cisco technology.

You are then ready to use the materials and exercises provided by Global Knowledge to lay down a firm foundation in preparation of classroom training courses.

Classroom Training Courses

During the five day intensive classroom training course, you will be taught - based on a great deal of hands-on lab practice - how to install, configure and manage an IPv4 and IPv6 network. You will learn about Cisco Device Management and licensing, configuring LAN switches and IP routers, identifying security threats, solving network issues, in-depth understanding of WAN technology, connecting a network with a WAN, and configuring EIGRP and OSPF is both IPv4 and IPv6.

You will have access to the labs 24/7 for the duration of the course. With a Global Knowledge expert on hand to answer any questions, you will be given every opportunity to practice as often as you need.

Practice makes Perfect!

The key to success is practice, practice and more practice. Making the best decisions on the way to your exams is of crucial importance. Global Knowledge provides you with a number of tools that will make the trajectory toward your exam just a little easier:

• You will receive 10 e-lab credits after completing the course in order to hone the skills you have just learned. Every credit will allow you 50 minutes of access to physical labs that simulate a typical network environment.

• You will be issued a “revision guide” to assist you in preparing for your exam. The guide contains many recommendations which will help you prepare for the CCNA exam. It is a tool that will reduce the stress of preparing for your exam.

• You will also receive access to CCNA Xtra. CCNA Xtra is an online Cisco Learning Portal for Global Knowledge students. You will be able to access additional support tools, technical documents and video tutorials.
