Content The themes in this module in the Design programme are ‘own identity and direction’ and

‘organization of the design process’. The students apply their own choice of components in order to arrive at their designs.

The students broaden their professional knowledge by entering into confrontations beyond the design profile. This module covers knowledge and skills of the profession chosen by the students. Educational form tutorial

The students co-operate within components of the design method.

Assessment The students carry out assignments depending on the content of the module. They display their research in a study portfolio in the form of a (visual) essay. They show the (design) process in a multimedia presentation. The students present the process and the eventual design in-between times and during the work interview.

Assessment takes place depending on the content of the semester on the basis of the:

Presence is recorded by means of an attendance list. 80% attendance is obligatory. Study material Is specified during the first lesson.

• critical reflection on the possibilities of the medium • innovation

• relationship between concept and design • learning computer programming

Students choose from an assortment of various options. In this way, they can determine their own standpoint as a designer.

Educational form suitable to the chosen learning track

Assessment Students carry out assignments corresponding to the chosen learning track. Students present the process and eventual design in-between times and during the work interviews. Specialized classes in Design, In-depth Technical Courses and Capita Selecta are provided for 8 weeks, beginning in the 5th week of education in the first block of the semester.

Students participate in the Project week. The students broaden their professional knowledge by entering into confrontations beyond the design profile. In this context, all knowledge and skills of the subject covered in this semester are dealt with.
