This program involves cosmetology students in platform artistry both on stage and back stage, from planning to performing. I have included the link you can use to give your students a glimpse of life as a member of the SWAT Team www.sspatoday.com/swat-team. We hope you will view it with your students.

Students who apply must fulfill the following four requirements.

1. They must have a great interest in doing platform work and be highly recommended by the school.

2. Students must have school attendance of 85% or better and be enrolled as part-time or more. 3. Students must be a member of SSPA.

4. They must be able to commit to the event and program requirements listed on the attached application form. (Please see the attached student letter for full program details.)

NEW THIS YEAR: Co-Directors Lisa Haugdahl and Anna Nordquist will visit YOU at your school for the interviews if requested. They would like to visit your school in January, February or March, meet with students and faculty and explain the value of the SWAT program. Contact Lisa at lisa.haugdahl@gmail.com to arrange a visit for you and your students. Interested students should complete the enclosed SWAT application and attach the required letter of recommendation from the school manager or an instructor and submit to the SSPA Office.

Students who wish to be considered after a school visit can still do so by completing the application process and mailing or faxing by the deadline of March 3, 2016. These students will be notified of their interview time via email or telephone.

If you have questions, please call the SSPA office at 952-925-9731 (Metro) or 888-213-0949 (outside Metro) or email cora@sspatoday.com.
