Workshops

History of Carnival through dance and music workshop•
The participants will be presented many different Afro-Brazilian rhythms: Ijexá, Coco, Jongo, Samba-de-roda and SambaThe groups may see, from a vip suit, the two rehearsals of Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, in Duque de Caxias:
Tuesdays (from November until Carnival) – Technical rehearsals
From 19:00 until 20:00- Pimpolhos da Grande Rio rehearsal (Grande Rio’s kids’ samba school) From 21:00 until 23:00-Acadêmicos do Grande Rio rehearsal
Saturdays (from August until Carnival) – Rehearsal + Party
From 23:00 until at 4:00 – rehearsal and party of Acadêmicos do Grande Rio
*The package includes snacks and drinks (6 cases of beer, 5 boxes of soft drinks and 5boxes of bottled water)

Experiencing Samba at a VIP SUIT
Location: Grande Rio’s Facility – downtown Duque de Caxias Available from August until Carnaval
Hours: Saturdays from 23:00 until 04:00 and Tuesdays from 19:00 until 23:00
Customized events at Grande Rio include:
• Rental of space with sound services, cleaning and security
• Presentation of the Group Show Acadêmicos do Grande Rio with samba dancers, singers, drums and couple of mestre-sala and porta-bandeira
• Presentation of the Group Show Pimpolhos da Grande Rio with samba dancers, singers, drums and mestre-sala and porta-bandeira
• DJ providing music
