1. ACCOUNT SETUP
Website Address: www.poems.com.sg/CQTrader
1) Click “Reset Password” at Login page.
2) Enter User ID and First Company Password (given by the Company). Please note that the password is case-sensitive.
3) Click “Submit” button.
4) Enter Second Company Password (sent to your email address).
6) Key-in your preferred New Password and re-type the same password. 7) Select your Security Question from the drop-down list and enter the
Answer. The Security Answer will be required if you forget your password. 8) Click “Submit” button.
9) A confirmation message will be prompted.
2 LOGIN
1) Key-in the Login ID and your Password. 2) Click “OK” button.
3. VIEW STOCK PRICES
1) To view U.S. stock prices, click on “STOCKS” menu.
2) Select either NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), NASD (NASDAQ Stock Market) or AMEX (American Stock Exchange).
3) To search for a counter, click on Name or Ticker (stock code) and enter the keyword(s).
4) Click on “Go” to view.
5) Click on “More Market Info” drop-down list to display stocks by the following criteria:
Top 30 Volume Top 30 Gainers Top 30 Losers Top 30% Gainers Top 30% Gainers Top 30% Losers
6) Stocks can also be filtered by Sectors by selecting from the drop-down list. 7) To return to stock prices page after navigating away, click “Live Price” menu.
Note: Stocks of other foreign exchanges (SGX, SEHK, SET, TSE and LSE)
4. WORLD INDICES
1) To view various world indices, click “World Indices”.
5. CREATE WATCHLIST
1) Five (5) different watchlists can be created for each exchange. Each watchlist can display up to forty (40) counters.
2) Click on “Edit Quotes”
3) To add a counter to a watchlist, click on the counter on the left frame.
4) To delete a counter from the watchlist, tick the delete checkbox on the right frame and click “Update” button.
5) To change the watchlist name, enter preferred name at “Listname” field. 6) Click “Update” button after editing is complete.
6. TRADING
1) To trade, click on the counter and enter the following at the bottom trading section:
Account Ref (HDBS Client Code) Buy or Sell
Price (Price limit = 200% up/down of Last Done price)
Quantity (Minimum Qty = 1 share)
Password (ie. Login Password)
Note: Please ignore the settlement currency at “Settl Cur” field.
2) Click on “OK” button to submit the order.
3) The above message is displayed, regardless of whether the order is received or rejected. At the same time, “Working Orders” window pops-up to display successful orders only.
4) If the order is not shown at Working orders, it means that the order is
rejected. Refer to “Orders Processed” menu for rejection messages. Some samples of the rejection messages are as below:
(i) “B2B: Client Holding Not Found” – Client does not have any shareholdings for the stock
(ii) “B2B: Exceed Client Holding” – Client does not have sufficient shareholdings for the stock
(iii) “B2B: Exceed Client Buy Limit” – Client’s Buy Limit is exceeded (iv) “Revise Qty to <number>” – Dealer’s limit is exceeded
Search for Records:
1) To check client’s Account Reference, click on ”Account Ref” at the trading section.
2) Click on the hyperlink of the selected record and the corresponding Client Code will be shown at trading section.
3) To search for a stock, click “Symbol”.
4) Click on the hyperlink of the stock and the corresponding Company Code will be shown at trading section.
7. ORDERS
1) To view the details of orders submitted, click on “Working”, “Processed” or “Trade Done” at trading section.
Working Orders:
(displays orders with status “Order Received”)
Note: Orders listed at “Working Orders” menu are orders submitted successfully and pending execution. These orders can be withdrawn.
2) To withdraw an order, click on the radio button of the Order No at Working Orders window.
3) Click on “Withdraw Order” button.
4) Click “OK” button at the pop-up window. (No password is required if order is withdrawn from Live Price Working menu.)
5) If an order is withdrawn from Orders Working Orders menu, the following confirmation screen will appear.
6) Enter the password and click on “OK” button to proceed.
Note: No amendment of order quantity is allowed for U.S. stocks.
To change the quantity of an order, withdraw the order and submit a new order with the intended quantity.
Orders Processed:
(displays orders with status “Withdrawn”, “Done” or “Rejected”)
Trade Done
(displays orders with status “Done”)
7) Order screens can be printed. Click on “Print” icon for a printer-friendly version before printing.
8. TRADING LIMITS
1) To view clients’ and own trading limits, click on “Limits” at trading section.

9. SHAREHOLDING
1) To view a client’s shareholding, click “Accounts” menu. 2) Select “Foreign S’hlgds”.
3) Select ‘All Clients’ to view all records.
4) To view a particular client’s holding, click on the radio button to indicate search criteria.
5) Enter the keyword(s) and click on “Go” button.
Note: Client’s shareholding displayed is the opening shareholding for the current day. The balance does not change and is not updated for transactions executed during the day.
10. CLIENT PARTICULARS
1) To view a client’s particulars, click “Accounts” menu. 2) Select “Client Particulars”.
3) Click on the radio button to indicate search criteria. 4) Enter the keyword(s) and click on “Go” button.
11. CHART
1) Intraday and daily charts are available.
2) Click on “CHART” menu and “POEMS Charting” on the left panel.
3) Enter Stock Symbol (stock code) or click on “Search” button to choose the stock symbol.
5) Click on “OK” button to view the chart.
6) To refresh the chart, click on ‘RefreshChart’ option.
12. FORGET PASSWORD
(A) Forget Password but Remember Security Answer:
1) If you forget the Login Password, contact ID Maintenance to reset your account.
2) Click “Forget Your Password” at Login page. 3) Enter User ID and click Submit button.
4) Key-in the answer to your Security Question and click “Submit” button.
5) You will be prompted to enter a new set of preferred password.
(B) Forget Password and Forget Security Answer:
1) Contact ID Maintenance to request for Company Passwords.
2) Once you have obtained First Company Password and Second Company Password, click “Reset Password”.
3) Enter User ID and First Company Password. Please note that the password is case-sensitive.
4) Click “Submit” button.
5) Enter Second Company Password (sent to your email address). 6) Click “Submit” button.
7) Enter your preferred new set of password. 8) Edit your Security Answer, if desired. 9) Click “Submit” button.
10) A confirmation message will be prompted.
11) Log-in with your new password.
Note: If your account is disabled due to three (3) unsuccessful attempts, please contact ID Maintenance for re-activation. Your password will not be changed.
