Warm up task
Look at your nearest clock and tell an adult what the time is. Draw the times on this clock face or on a different bit of paper. Write the time in digital format next to it too.
Main task
WALT convert between 12-hour and 24-hour times expressed on analogue
and digital clocks.
I know that digital time can be expressed in both 12 hours and 24 hours. I can convert between these two versions as well as to analogue time. I can solve a maths time problem with this knowledge.
First, go through the PowerPoint I’ve sent you to learn more about converting between 12 and 24 hour time.
Then have a play on the interactive 12 and 24 hour digital clock I mentioned yesterday to see how the time changes:

RE
WALT discuss the 10 commandments.
I know some of the 10 commandments.
I can discuss them and decide on an order of importance. I can explain how I could use on the rules in my own life.
Remind yourself of the work you did last week about rules. Think about the rules we have at school and at home as well as the Golden Rule that lots of religions also follow.
Today we are looking at some other rules, this time from Torah, which is the holy book for Jewish people. They are called The 10 Commandments and lots of Jewish people and Christians follow them.
Watch this video here to find out what they are:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z687tfr
We would usually spend some time as a class discussing what they all mean. If you would like to do the same with an adult that would be great. Here they are with a more ‘child friendly’ versions of them underneath.
1. You shall have no other gods before Me. You should only worship one God.
2. You shall not make idols.
You shouldn’t make or worship a pretend God.
3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
You shouldn’t use God’s name like any other word. It should be respected.
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You should take time to rest and honour God. 5. Honour your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
You shouldn’t kill anyone on purpose.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
Married people should stay faithful to one another. 8. You shall not steal.
You shouldn’t take anything without asking or paying for it.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
You shouldn’t lie or make up stories about people.
10. You shall not covet you neighbours’ goods.
You shouldn’t be jealous of what other people have. You should be happy
with what you already have.
Below is a diagram called a diamond 9. Please could you arrange all the rules into this formation, with the most important rule at the top and the least important rule at the bottom. You can either copy them out onto strips of paper or cut out the ones above so you can move them about as your change your mind. This is all your opinion, there is no right or wrong to this!
Once complete, please write a sentence on some paper or a whiteboard
underneath and take a pic to tell me the one rule you think would be the most relevant to you. Obviously, some of these are definitely not relevant to you so choose one you could use in your life!
For example, I might say ‘I think the rule saying I shall not covet my
neighbours’ goods is relevant to me because when we go out for dinner, I always want my friends’ pudding instead of mine!’
Parents – this lesson is more about the discussion that comes from how the
children choose to order the rules rather than any written work. Therefore, if you spend all the time talking about it and no time to write anything at the end then that is completely fine!
Optional Extra Activity:
