PHILOSOPHY: Kampala International University (KIU) regards each student as a unique individual who brings to the learning environment certain strengths and ideals. It is the role of the University to assist students to actualize their strengths by ensuring that students’ educational experiences are designed to deliver productive graduates who can contribute positively to the overall well being of society. Holistic development and a strong, positive intellectual development is what the University strives to inculcate in each student.

KIU’s main campus is located in Kampala City, the Capital and Central Business District of Uganda. Our Medical School, also called the Western Campus, with a fully equipped Referral Teaching Hospital, is located on Kasese/Fort Portal Road, Near Imaramagambo Evergreen Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park, i.e. some 300km from Kampala City and in one of the coolest environments of Tropical Africa. Our fourth and fifth Campuses are in Dar-salaam-Tanzania (Nyerere Road) and Nairobi-Kenya (Namanga Road); both of them near the respective countries’ International Airports, giving our potential prospective students a range of choice to study in the East African Regional Community.

Note: For direct entry into Medical Programs Nigerian students are required to have at least five (5) credits in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Physics. Tuition fees are paid at UBA-bank through AFRICASH on A/C No. 0513000373 in US Dollars. The exchange rate will show that courses in Liberal Arts, Law, Information Technology and Business Management take about One Million (1,000,000) Naira to complete a three – four-years ; while for five-year Medical courses e.g. Medicine, it will be about Five Million (5,000,000) Naira. We accept installments in fees payment within a year or in a Semester. KIU administers its programs every year in three In-takes: i.e. January/February, April/May and August/September In-takes. Uganda has the most affordable accommodation facilities and a very low cost of living.
