Hodgson Web Master Services Methodology and Strategy

Hodgson utilizes a number of processes, strategies and tools to ensure full coverage for the web properties  we manage and maintain. They are:

Dedicated Project Manager and team members

Hodgson believes in building relationships with our clients and we do this by dedicating our project  managers and their teams to our client’s projects. By dedicating our project manager and developers we  learn and understand the needs and goals of our clients and can not only react to them to meet our client  objectives, but anticipate them. Our clients always communicate with the same project manager for their  web property and our clients know who their project manager is.

Cross Trained Team and Bench Depth

Hodgson also believes in resource redundancy and cross training our developers. As with any business, team  members are not in the office 100% of the time, but often web properties need to be maintained 100% of  the time. To ensure we have coverage, Hodgson cross trains a number of developers to know the technical  and information architecture of the web property, and to understand the code base and practices needed to  maintain the property. This ensure when a request is submitted, a team member is available to complete it.

Full Services Skilled Team

Hodgson provides all of our maintenance clients with the power and skill sets of a complete web  development team. Our client can utilize any and all of the resources we have available in house and put  them to work on any maintenance task. Your maintenance team expertise and experience covers the  following tools and technologies:  • Web Strategy and online marketing  • Information architecture and usability  • User experience and User interface design  • Web development, including:  o HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS  o ASP, ASPX (C#, VB.NET)  o PHP  o XML  o RSS  o Flash, audio, video  o SQL  • Functional and user testing

(6)

Status Meetings / Status Reports

Hodgson will conduct weekly status meetings (conference calls, onsite or video conferencing) and send  weekly status reports that detail the activities and tasks of the project. The status report provides a detailed  account of tasks, hours and budget.

Task Tracker (online Task Management System)

Hodgson utilizes a proprietary task management system (Task  Tracker) that allows clients to initiate tasks through a web based  application. Task Tracker allows our clients to submit a task and post  supporting documentation to the task. Once submitted, the project  manager will estimate the amount of hours needed to complete the  task and assign a developer to that task. As the task is worked on,  Task Tracker shows the progress of the task from assignment to  development, review, proofing, testing and approval.

(7)

Version control and publishing files

Hodgson utilizes FirePublish to assist with the management, migration and publishing of files, this is not to  be confused with the publishing of content (which the CMS handles). With FirePublish in place, sending files  to a production web server is no longer an ad hoc process. Files are accounted for from the minute they are  committed to the version control repository. From that point, the only way they can reach the production  server is through a defined workflow, which, among other things, requires that the files pass through a  testing environment.                 FirePublish handles files that are added, updated, and deleted from your Subversion (or version control)  repository. Should files need to be deleted from your website, the deletions can be "published" to your test  and production web servers in the same way as other modifications, allowing test and production servers to  remain in sync. FirePublish offer the following features:  • Know exactly which files to publish  • Audit trails for any changes to production  • Limit access to your production environments  • Publish to multiple locations at once  • Publish files quickly  • Keep everyone up‐to‐date with RSS    **Customers with additional internal developers will need to purchase a FirePublish license at a rate of $349.00 per  user.
