(30)

Solution Documentation Assistant –

Prerequisites I

„ Technical Prerequisites:

„ To provide additional data for the Solution Documentation Assistant, SAP enhanced the SAP software component ST-PI. Prerequisite for Solution Manager System and a managed system that shall be analyzed:

Usage of the latest version of SAP software component ST-PI release 2008_1_* SP00 „ Managed systems must have release 4.6C or higher

„ A running Early Watch Alert service for a managed system is required to provide workload statistics data the Solution Documentation Assistant makes use of.

„ Dependent on

– the workload statistics settings in each managed system that shall be analyzed with Solution Documentation Assistant and

– the availability of data for such a system in the Solution Manager the number of months that can be analyzed will be determined.

„ For this, Early Watch Alert must deliver data a minimum of one month before the first analysis run starts. The Solution Documentation Assistant takes into account data of a full month, meaning the latest month available for a current Analysis is the last month.

„ System Landscape information needs to be up-to-date for the managed systems, especially the RFC connections need to exist and need to work correctly

(31)

Solution Documentation Assistant –

Prerequisites II

„ Embedded in the SAP Solution Manager Work Center concept (Already available with SAP Solution

Manager SPS15 (referred to Development News SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP15 (Stack))

„ The Work Centers have to be set up in the Implementation Guide (IMG) (Transaction SPRO): – SAP Solution Manager Æ Configuration

– SAP Solution Manager Æ Cross-Scenario Settings Æ Work Center – SAP Solution Manager Æ Cross-Scenario Settings Æ IGS Setup

– SAP Solution Manager Æ Scenario-Specific Settings Æ Solution Documentation Assistant Æ Activate Solution Manager Services Æ Activate Services Æ Choose: SM_SDA

„ User Interface Authorization

„ The Solution Documentation Assistant Work Center is the central access point and provides several views to manage the Analysis Projects, to create Analyses, to work with Analysis results and to manage Check Rules in the Rule Database.

„ The authorization is given via the Work Center roles: – SAP_SDA_ALL – provides all authorizations

– SAP_SDA_DIS – provides display authorizations

– SAP_SMWORK_SDA – provides the information needed to work with that work center „ Important SAP Notes
