Change to Funding Criteria

Due to the ﬁnancial hardship many sport and recreation clubs are experiencing as a result of the current COVID 19 pandemic, it will not be a requirement for eligible organisations to contribute matched funding.

This proposal is a direct response to the current needs of the community, as Council

recognises that many clubs will not have the ﬁnancial resources to commit matched funding to their proposed maintenance projects at this time.

The funding will be based on a sliding scale dependant on 2019 membership numbers. This will ensure that every eligible club who applies will receive funding, without the need to contribute ﬁnancially.
