The camerafocuses with the autofocusframe in the centerof the viewfinder.When the main subject is off the autofocusframe, the main subject will not be focusedproperly.Use the focus lock techniqueto bring the main subject into focus. How to use 1. When the composition does not allow the autofocus frame to be placed over the most important subject in the picture, the camera will focus on the background as shown in the illustration.. 2. To prevent this, center the autofocus frame on the main subject and keep depressingthe shutter releasebutton halfway down. The infocus indicator remains on, indicating that the focus is temPorarilYlocked. 3. While holdingthe shutter releasebutton halfway down, re-aim the camera or recompose the picture, then depressthe shutter release button all the way to releasethe shutter. .
