How to Submit Your Application

Congratulations on choosing to apply with Redwood for your new home! We are excited to have you in one of our remarkable neighborhoods!

1) Contact the Leasing Center of the neighborhood you wish to apply for and let them know you are ready to move forward. A Redwood team member will invite you to Rent Café. You will receive an email to begin your online application. Click the link in the email to get started:

2) After clicking the link in the email, you will be required to create a new password and confirm the new password. Click Set Password:

3) You will now log-in using your email address and new password. Click Login:

4) Click Start Application:

5) Select Continue on your desired floorplan:

6) Click Select on an apartment from the availability list. Or, Add to Waitlist:

7) Choose your desired Move-in Date and Lease Term. Click Continue:

8) You will now begin completing your Personal Information and Address Information. Red asterisks * are required fields; however, you should fill in as many blanks as possible. Note: You must enter a physical address. A PO Box is not acceptable:

9) You will now complete the Employment Information section. Red asterisks * are required fields; however, you should fill in as many blanks as possible:

10) You will now complete the required information under Screening Information:

11) You will need to check the two boxes agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, and confirming statements provided are true and correct:

12) You will now select Yes or No for Pet Information. If Yes, please enter your pets information:

13) You will use the drop-down menu and select your appropriate move-in reason:

14) If you will have any minor occupants living with you, expand this folder by clicking the down arrow on the right and enter the minors full name and relationship. If not, continue to Step 14.

15) You must check the box agreeing the information provided is true and correct. You will then digitally sign. Click Save & Continue:

16) If you have additional leaseholders, you must click Add Applicant. If not, click Continue (and skip to step 16 of this document):

a. If you have an additional leaseholder(s), you will enter their First Name, Last Name, Yes for 18 or Older, and Relationship. Click Add:

b. Click Send Invitation to invite them to complete their portion of the application:

c. A new window will open to enter their Email Address. Click Send Email:

17) You will now digitally sign the Screening Approval and Rental Application by clicking Sign:

18) Click Agree & Continue to the disclosures & consent:

19) You can create your own signature or choose a script signature. Click Save & Continue:

20) Please read the Screening Approval document in its entirety and then click Jump to Next to be directed to the digital initial and signature spots:

21) You must physically click in the orange boxes, turning them green, to Sign & Complete the document:

22) Please read the Rental Application document and then click Jump to Next to be directed to the digital initial and signature spots:

24) The documents will now show as Completed. Click Continue:

25) Please review the yellow box of information regarding application fees and hold-fee. Scroll down:

26) You will now pay your $50.00 application fee by adding a Bank Account or Credit Card. The $250 hold-fee, once approved, will be deducted from the same payment account as your application fee and remain in your Rent Café account for future rent payments. Bank Account is preferred:

27) After the payment account has been entered, check the two boxes agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, and that application fees are non-refundable, even if the application is denied. Click Submit Payment:

28) At this point, your application has now been submitted for screening and a Redwood team member will be in touch with your shortly regarding your results:

29)Once a Redwood team member contacts you with an approval, you must now log back into your applicant portal account on byRedwood.com (click Applicant Login in the upper right hand corner and log in using the same email and password previously created).

30) Once you’re logged back in, click Continue:
