Welcome to Introduction to PeopleSoft!
In this class we will show you the basics of PeopleSoft. We’ll discuss some rules of thumb and new
terminology. Then we will go into a training database to practice
logging in, navigating, and
searching so you are prepared for your October 3 Finance go live.

What is MITI? What is PeopleSoft?
The SDCOE began MITI to transform and modernize the areas of business
operations, finance, payroll, and human resources for your school district, as well as the county office.
Oracle PeopleSoft is the software solution.
PeopleSoft applications include Financials, HCM (Human Capital Management), and Hyperion.
The PeopleSoft Portal is at https ://peoplesoft.erp.sdcoe.net.
The Employee Self-Service (ESS) site is at https://ess.erp.sdcoe.net (when you are live on HCM).
MITI
MITI stands for Modernization, Improvement, and Transformation Initiative.

Preparing for 10/03/16 Go Live
Bookmark the PeopleSoft Portal.
Know your ID and password.
Bookmark the CRC website.
Review the training materials and use the Sandbox.
Know the staff within your district to contact for
assistance with PeopleSoft.
Sandbox Time
DIRECTIONS:
1. Find the Finance Sandbox link on the CRC website.
2. Log in with your Employee ID and Sandbox password.
3. Click Main Menu and explore your permissions.
Remember, your setup is based on the roles assigned to you by your organization.
Common screens that you might have based on your roles:
QUERY: Main Menu > Reporting Tools > Query > Query Viewer
REQUISTIONS: Main Menu > Employee Self-Service >
Procurement > Manage Requisitions
BUDGET: Main Menu > Commitment Control > Review Budget Activities > Budgets Overview
