A fundamentally differentiated contribution to existing explosive products
No shock combined with high energy delivery, classified as 1,4S
Cartridge products suitable for all borehole sizes from 9mm – 87mm across power
charges from 3g – 1.7kg
Significant factors influencing adoption include:
─ Classification: Benefits from 1,4S accreditation in transport, storage and use
─ Legislation shifts: No mass detonation hazard or malicious application favors non-
explosive solutions in sensitive blasting and/or built-up areas
─ Productivity: Avoided shock means minimal scatter rock, no site downtime,
immediate re-entry
─ Cost effectiveness: Lower than the cost of a detonator
─ Safety: 1,4s accredited. No deflagration without confinement. World’s first safety
switch in Gen III
More appropriate solution for certain rock breaking applications

Marble stone quarrying where the shockwave from conventional explosives would otherwise compromise the value of the marble
Traditional methods include mechanical pecking as well as diamond wire cutting, but no high explosive use is permissible by quarrying management due to degradation of stone
Bench heights range from 4m to 10m
AutoStem use in Turkey set to change the economics of marble stone industry globally due to radically reduced recover costs of AutoStem vs. traditional mining methods
Advantages of using AutoStem over conventional alternatives include:
— Site safety
— No shockwave damage to high value stone and minimal vibration
— Very low cost relative to conventional pecker methods of stone removal or diamond cutting wire

High explosive use in road side blasting in built up areas create numerous challenges, infrastructure-damage risks and safety implications
Particularly in high-traffic areas, conventional explosives will typically cause significant road-way congestion and disruption
Underground infrastructure (piping, etc) and overhead power lines risks being compromised by conventional blasting due to shockwaves, fly-rock and high vibration
Advantages of using AutoStem over conventional alternatives include:
— Site safety
— No interruption to vehicular traffic flow, allowing for blasting on an as-you-need-to basis.
— No risk at all to nearby infrastructure or utilities due to shockwave or fly-rock

AutoStem, since 2016, has been used in the safe removal of hardened concrete in concrete mixers and storage drums, large boulders in crushers and tree trunk blasting
Our 9mm (3g, 6g and 9g) products cause no damage to drum or mixer equipment, and is safely used in basement removal settings, pillar or concrete beam removal
10mm boreholes can be drilled with an electric hand- held Hilti-drill (or equivalent), requiring no compressed air or other power sources
No equivalent solution to the AutoStem micro-range exists in the hydraulic breaker or explosive sector today

High explosive use causes unnecessary complications in terms of site-safety, accessories (detonator) inventory and site, storage and transport permitting
Vibration risks to nearby infrastructure a cause of concern in built up areas
Time in using AutoStem products far less than the conventional alternatives (avoided charging up, avoided tamping)
Advantages of using AutoStem over conventional alternatives include:
— Site safety, elimination of detonators, AutoStem safety switch
— Speed of use
— Any-time blasting during day or night

High explosive use presents vibration damage risk, noise pollution, safety risks and permitting challenges
More and more, in-city regulators reluctant to permit explosive use in built up areas
Per high explosives are permitted, time-of-day restrictions slow down site development adding substantially to development costs
AutoStem products eliminate these limitations allowing for any-time blasting, elimination of noise, site safety and administrative ease

In the above comparison, 10kg of conventional packaged explosive product was compared to 4.6kg of AutoStem product
The conventional packaged explosive achieved an advance of only 1.2m with significant vibration at 10m and 22m. Re-entry was permitted after 2 hours to allow for ventilation of dust
In the AutoStem blast, no sequential firing was required for an advance of 1.4m. Vibration was 66% less in comparison and no ventilation was required with an immediate re-entry.

High explosive use invariably causes harm and risk to sea/ocean/river life, which is entirely avoided by use of AutoStem products
AutoStem products are effortless to use in comparison to conventional explosives particularly in difficult underwater applications
Advantages of using AutoStem over conventional alternatives include:
— No environmental concern arising from risk to sea life (due to avoided shockwave
— Ease of use as well as general user safety
— No requirement to evacuate ships, barges and other infrastructure due to avoided shockwave

Global use of AutoStem continues to expand with a brand presence on every continent
The application range of AutoStem products continues to expand as blasters integrate AutoStem products into applications previously blasted with conventional explosives
AutoStem competes directly with the hydraulic breaker market. For example, inclusion of AutoStem in the Spokane (Washington) tender of 2018, reduced the cost of a conventional hydraulic breaker solution by 53%
The global explosive market is estimated at US$22 billion per annum with packaged explosives constituting 40% of that market. Mining accounts for 75% of these economics
