Basic Operations: Answering, Ending and Placing a call

Check Voicemail From your phone

x Press the Messages button

x You will be prompted to enter your password (the default password is 3324), followed by # From another phone in the district

x Press the Messages button

x You will hear the recorded name of the person whose phone you are using Press*

x You will be prompted to enter your ID (this means your extension), followed by # x You will be prompted to enter your password, followed by #

From a phone outside the district x Dial 533-(Your Extension)

x When the Cisco Unity Messaging automated recording begins, press *

x You will be prompted to enter your ID (this means your extension) followed by # x You will be prompted to enter your password, followed by #

Initial Voicemail Options: After listening to a message To forward a message

Forwarding All Calls to Voicemail or to Another Phone

Call Forward

x Press the CFwdALL soft key

x Listen for the two beeps, and then enter the destination phone number To Forward to a Phone inside LTISD

Enter Extension Only To Forward to a Phone Outside LTISD

Enter '9" + number To Forward directly to Voicemail

Press the Messages button

x Your LCD screen should now read "Forwarded to" the location you selected Cancel Call Forward

x Press the CFwdALL soft key

x A beep confirms cancellation of call forwarding, and your LCD screen no longer reads "Forwarded to"

x Press the Hold soft key If only one call is on hold To Automatically Place First Call on Hold x Be certain the call is highlighted x Press to Answer soft key

x Press the Scroll Key to scroll up or

To dial a Call in the Missed Calls, Received Calls, Placed Calls Directories:

Press the Scroll key to highlight the number to call If the Number is an Extension Inside LTISD

* Press the Dial soft key If the Number is a Local Call

* Press the EditDial soft key

* Delete the area code if it appears. Use the >> soft key to more the cursor to the right of the area code, and then use the << soft key to delete the area code.

* Your cursor should now be to the left of the phone number. Enter a "9" in front of the number.

* Press the Dial soft key

To exit the Directories, press the Exit soft key

Park and Retrieve a Call Group Pick Up Meet Me Conference

While on a active call: x Pick up the handset, press the Speaker To arrange and open a Meet me (Do not place call on hold) button, or press the New Call soft key Conference:

x Press the More soft key for dial tone x Get a Meet Me number from the

Setting up Voicemail for the First Time

From your phone

x Pick up the handset, press the Speaker button, or press the New Call soft key for dial tone

x Press the Messages button

x Enter your password, followed by #. When setting up voicemail for the first time, use the default password 2580

x Record your name

Press # to accept your recorded name, or press 1 to rerecord your name.

x Record your greeting.

Two example greetings:

Teacher example

"You have reached _________________. I teach _____________________. Please leave your name, phone number, and

a short message , and I will return your call. Thank you"

Office or Assistant example

" You have reached the office of ____________________ at _____________________school / in the LTISD ________________

department. I am either away from my desk or on another call. Please leave your name, phone number, and a short message,

and I will return your call. Thank you."

x Press # to accept your recorded greeting, or press 1 to rerecord your greeting.

x Change your password (Choose a password that is not easy for other to guess.)

Enter a new password

Reenter the password to confirm that you typed it correctly.
