Communications are an essential and integral part of

any IT strategy and are as important as the systems and processes they support.

For companies operating offices around the UK, the cost and management overhead of their communication networks can be substantial and problems with network congestion, support and maintenance commonplace. InTechnology's UK wide IP-based communications network, LANnet, is equally suited to carrying data, telephony and video traffic and enables the delivery of an exciting range of Network Services.

Through LANnet, along with our close collaboration with leading network solution vendors, we provide

sophisticated end-to-end network solutions and services that empower both large enterprises and growing companies to realise new business opportunities & improve service levels, while reducing costs.

Round–the-clock pro-active monitoring and management of all communication links enables rapid issue resolution, improved security and the flexibility to accommodate our clients evolving network requirements.

InTechnology has supplied us

with ‘bandwidth-on-demand’ for

the IT Centre, allowing businesses here to

customise their connectivity requirements

on a day-to-day basis.

INFRASTRUCTURE OVERVIEW

LANnet is InTechnology's UK wide

communications network, supporting connection to our data centres and between offices

UK wide coverage is catered for through various connection options

The use of sophisticated network monitoring and management technologies, such as HP OpenView and Orchestream enable effective and flexible 24x7 support backed by a comprehensive SLA. LANnet utilises the latest technologies such as MPLS* and DWDM* to guarantee high

performance and provide the scalability and resilience lacking in traditional networks. The network has been built using world-class components including Cisco routing technology. Direct or VPN Internet access can be provided anywhere on the network via multiple connections to global Tier 1 providers.

Connection options include 2, 10, 100 & 1000 Mbs Ethernet and DSL.

InTechnology’s data centres provide secure hosting for a range of managed services.

LAYERED SERVICES –

THE NETWORK

CONVERGENCE ADVANTAGE

InTechnology connect each business site directly onto

our LANnet network, enabling any combination of network services to be delivered through this connection. We call this concept - layered services.

Each layered service is provisioned over its own VLAN (virtual LAN), private to each client. This enables us to offer multiple network services without issues of contention or congestion and in line with pre-defined Quality of Service (QoS) and service level agreement requirements. It also allows improved pro-active management of each service.

Inter-site connectivity can be provided through a variety of means, including Ethernet, with bandwidth from 2 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s. We also cater for remote and rural offices or home workers through our broadband service that can be bonded to provide increased capacity.

With InTechnology you only pay for the bandwidth you need. This helps to reduce upfront costs while allowing for

VIRTUAL PRIVATE

NETWORK (VPN)

Point to point communications to link offices in two or more cities is expensive, difficult to manage and often based on complex or confusing pricing models. By connecting to LANnet, businesses have their own multi-site VPN and can reduce the cost and simplify the process of connecting distributed offices. Cost reductions are significant, with data rates from DSL to multi-gigabit Ethernet for substantially less cost than comparative solutions.

Reduces communications costs Flexible and future proof

Removes bandwidth as a barrier to business development

Resilient, high capacity LANnet infrastructure

INTERNET ACCESS

One of the primary costs associated with Internet access is the cost of the telecommunications circuit required to deliver access into a business.

LANnet reduces this cost whilst providing a robust and scalable connection, over which other layered services can also be delivered.

Dual Tier 1 Internet feeds for resilience Delivered over an InTechnology managed WAN Major cost savings
