Developers:
Installing Andica Payroll on Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Place the Andica Payroll Software CD in your CD drive or Run the software setup file that you may have downloaded and follow instructions provided below along with those provided in the Installation section of the full user guide.
Once you have inserted the CD you may get the following message (only applicable when installing from CD):
Select ‘Run AndicaPayrollv201x.exe’ and the installation process will commence.
Continue with the installation routines provided in the full user guide, until you get to the ‘Destination folder’ screen.
On the ‘Destination folder’ screen, check the destination folder:
Important: New installation:
Accept the installation path of ‘C:\Andica Payroll\’ as displayed on the installation screen.
Note: Do not install the software in the root of C:\ or C:\Program Files\ or any System folders.
Updates or upgrades:
When installing the software update or upgrade on a computer where earlier version already exists, Andica Payroll updates and upgrades must be installed in the same location where the original software has been installed.
Before installing, check in your computer hard disk drive the location where you have installed the software. The installation location is likely to be:
‘C:\Andica Payroll\’, or,
‘C:\Program Files\Andica Payroll\’
For new installations, accept the path displayed and click ‘Next’
For updates/upgrades, click ‘Change’ to select the location where the existing installation of Andica Payroll is.
If software update is installed in an incorrect location, software will not be able to read your existing data files.
Change the Folder name to the location where the original software has been installed, e.g. if the software was installed in Windows XP Program files folder, select path as shown above.
Click OK to accept the path.
The software is now ready to install. Confirm ‘Current Settings’ details. ‘Destination Folder:’ details will display the folder name you have specified earlier, e.g. C:\Andica Payroll\.
Click ‘Install’. Installation will commence several automated routines. This will be indicated by the progress bar.
During the installation on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 ‘User Account Control’ warning “An unidentified program wants to access your computer” may appear on screen, this will show Andica Payroll.msi installation file.
The software installation will commence, follow all the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
User Account Control (UAC) on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
We recommend that you check the following settings on your computer for trouble free operation of the software on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems.
1. Windows User Login rights
Your Windows Login User Account must have Windows User Access rights set as Administrator or Power User.

Where your Windows Login User Account does not have Administrator or Power User access right, you will need to start the software using ‘Run as administrator’ option.
To start the software, right click on the Andica Payroll Icon on your computer’s desktop or by clicking the icon on the Windows Start Menu ‘Start’ ‘Programs’ ‘Andica Payroll’ and select ‘Run as administrator’
In case the ‘Run as administrator’ option is not available when you click on the software icon: a) Go to the location where you have installed the software, e.g. ‘C:\Andica Payroll\’
b) Highlight the Application file ‘AndicaPayroll.exe’
c) Right Click and select ‘Properties’ ‘Compatibility tick box for ‘Run this program as an administrator’, select OK.
d) Right Click and select ‘Run as administrator’
