Beekeeping
Farm Chemical Users Course**
Two units from Certificate III in Agriculture*Over this three day course, participants will receive training in the basic skills and knowledge to select, purchase, transport, store, record and use agricultural and veterinary chemicals responsibly.
Completion of this course is required before participants can be issued with an Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) from the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and for people using chemicals within most quality assurance (QA) programs.

Chemical Risk Management (Refresher)

This one day refresher course is required to retain registration in some industry QA programs, and is designed for any person who is in control of a rural or outdoor work place where agricultural and veterinary chemicals (Agvet) are used. Completing the course will provide you with the knowledge and skills vital for making decisions to manage the risk associated with using such chemicals and to comply with occupational health and safety (OH&S) and environment legislation.

MARCSTA Work Health and Safety Induction**
MARCSTA is the Mining and Resource Contractors Safety Training Association. The MARCSTA Work Health and Safety Induction is a one day, eight hour course. The MARCSTA Work Health and Safety Induction is for persons wishing to work on mine sites. It is a prerequisite for a majority of mine sites in Western Australia. The induction card is issued by MARCSTA on successful completion of the course and is valid for a period of two years, after which a refresher course is required.

MARCSTA Refresher

MARCSTA accreditation is required to be renewed every two years. This refresher course is designed to meet this requirement.
The program is designed for workers engaged in surface operations at mines and other industrial workplaces as a basic introduction to safe working practices within the mining, resources and associated industry sectors. This refresher course covers the legislation components of the course to ensure all workers are up to date with legislative changes.

This course is approved by WorkSafe Victoria and is conducted under approval issued to Holmesglen TAFE. The five day course enables everyone in the workplace to understand their duties and obligations under OH&S legislation.
The course provides elected health and safety representatives with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform their role in improving health and safety in the workplace. Managers and supervisors will also gain the knowledge to enable them to fulfil their obligations under the OH&S legislation and will be issued with a statement of attendance and card upon completion.

All people performing construction work in Victoria require proof that they have completed a general OH&S construction induction course for the industry. This one day Bendigo TAFE course meets the requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007 and allows workers to be registered with WorkSafe.
Upon successful completion you will be able to demonstrate personal awareness of OH&S legislative requirements and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.
The course cost includes the application fee to WorkSafe for the issue of a Construction Induction Card.

Most course applications can be made directly to Bendigo TAFE by completing this online application form.
