1. RESEARCH SUBJECT

This study report has been prepared about ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013, HIGHTEX International Technical Textiles and Nonwoven Fair 2013, and 10th International İstanbul Yarn Fairs which took

place from May 29, 2013 to June 1, 2013 in Büyükçekmece Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, İstanbul, in cooperation with Teknik Fuarcılık ve Yayıncılık Reklam Dan. Tic. Ltd. Şti ve Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş, with the supports of TEMSAD, and by permission of Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).

1.2. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

By determining the visitors’ general evaluations about the fair upon the surveys made with visitors, the visitor profile upon the information forms taken from both national and international visitors at the entrance to the fair, this study has the aim of presenting the results of analysis, news summaries taken place in the beginning of the fair to the participant firms; making use of the data obtained to enhance and improve future fairs.

1.3. EXAMPLE STRUCTURE AND RESEARCH METHODS

This study has been carried out by face-to-face interview method applied to randomly chosen fair visitors during the equally scattered days and hours of the fair; by evaluation

the information forms obtained from the visitors at the entrance; by analyzing the entrance records of professional visitors and information on invitation cards.

4. VISITORS INFO

4.1 GENERAL VISITOR DISPERSION

ITM Texpo Eurasia 2013, HIGHTEX 2013 and 10th International İstanbul Yarn Fairs hosted

39.256 qualified visitor coming from 71 countries. Among these visitors, 6.359 of this number is foreign coming from abroad and 32.897 of it is from various provinces of Turkey.
