Raise the Curtain!

Step into the spotlight at The Rose! No matter what your

interests, your young performer can find their place in the

spotlight with two outstanding programs designed to encourage

a love of performing.

The Rose offers two paths of theater education for children ages

3-18. Whether your child chooses DRAMA at The Rose or

BROADWAY at The Rose, you can be assured that your young

artist will learn and grow while having the best time of their lives.

Whether your child is taking their first steps on the stage or

has already landed a leading role, the performing arts classes at

The Rose will provide your child with theatrical opportunities unlike

any other ‒ all while having a whole lot of fun. Your child will be

learning from some of the best educators in the region. Rose

teachers include professional actors, accomplished dancers,

award-winning playwrights, highly-decorated directors, renowned

choreographers and more ‒ and if you look closely, you will see

those teachers on stage in your favorite main stage show!

Both departments provide students with professional instruction

by many of the same actors you see on stage! Classes

encourage creativity and imagination, while enriching the

understanding and enjoyment of theater. Many classes offer

performance opportunities and all classes promote ensemble

work and skill development.

So get started today and raise the curtain on your child’s talent!

(3)

Raise the Curtain!

DRAMA at THE ROSE

classes promote creativity and provide

students with an environment to explore their talent and imagination.

In our classes, you can expect to use your body to tell a story, learn

new ways to use your voice, stretch your imagination and have a

lot of fun while doing it. The focus of DRAMA at THE ROSE classes

is the process of creating theater. While students will share what

they’ve learned at the end of the session, the emphasis is on the

week-to-week progress rather than on a final performance. This

gives students a strong foundation in the theater while gaining an

appreciation for the arts that will enrich their lives.

Are you a

DRAMA

student?

I like to meet new friends and have fun!

I like to act out characters and create new ones!

I want to learn about the creative process of theater!

I like to draw set designs, costumes and

create puppets!

I want to be a performer!

I like dramatic play!

I like to use my imagination!

I want to act in a play!

I have taken a drama class OR

I would like to try one for the first time!

If you answered YES to any of the above,

you belong in

DRAMA at THE ROSE

!

Come play with us!

BROADWAY at THE ROSE

is a complete musical theater, voice,

acting, and dance training program for students who just want to

perform! In our classes, you can expect to perfect your skills and

prepare to take the stage at school, in community productions, or

maybe even in a play here at The Rose!

We offer two different options for BROADWAY students. Kids in our

BROADWAY Academy get an introduction to musical theater, voice,

acting and dance with year-long, weekly classes. For students who

live for the stage, we recommend our BROADWAY Intensive track,

which gives students an in-depth training of all things musical theater

with classes multiple days a week. Both programs culminate with a

spring concert on The Rose main stage.

Are you a

BROADWAY

stu

dent?

I like to meet new friends and have fun!

I want to become a “triple threat”!

I want to learn how to audition!

I want to improve my dance, acting

and/or vocal technique!

I would like to try one for the first time!

If you answered YES to any of the above, you belong in

BROADWAY at THE ROSE

! Step into the spotlight!

Of course, you can be both!
