Requirements which arise in front of modern managers are higher and higher. They have to be

effective, but this effectiveness is measured both by financial results and intangible assets, but

their employees to achieve the best results. We need to remember that all these activities are

increased by rising competition, globalization and internalization of markets. Only the managers

to manage their companies successfully.

St. Gallen: the Mecca of

Management Training

Since the early 70’s St. Gallen has steadily developed into the centre of modern Management Training. Under the aegis of the late Professor Dr. Hans Ulrich, who died in 1997, the value of a unified and integrated corporate management was recognised early on. The approach of the St. Gallen Management Model, further developed in the meantime by Prof. (emer.) Dr. h.c. Knut Bleicher into the Concept of Integrated Management, today enjoys internationally both recognition and popularity in equal measure. It has meanwhile had a lasting effect on the thinking of successive generations of management with the result that the St. Gallen Approach is today put into practice by an ever growing spectrum of users, yet providing a framework with which managers, thanks to a better knowledge of the overall context, are themselves able to pinpoint problems and identify their possible solutions.

The location St. Gallen, known amongst specialists in the field due to these scientific achievements as

“Management Valley St. Gallen”, is today the powerhouse of the conceptual further refinement of the St. Gallen Management Approach. Both the University of St. Gallen (HSG), recognised as one of the best academic seats of learning for Business Administration in Europe, as well as the privately organised St. Gallen Business School (SGBS), which, along with other St. Gallen institutions, achieves the highest success internationally in the practical implementation and wider diffusion of the St. Gallen Management Approach through its seminars, management programmes and business consulting services, make St. Gallen today a training venue with a unique standing worldwide as a source of knowledge and generator of impulses in the sector of Management Training and Further Development.

We strive to provide participants with the latest available knowledge from research and science with emphasis on practical relevance and with a view to its subsequent direct implementation. This is achieved through a mixture of knowledge transfer and practical tasks based on actual situations using specific management tools and methodologies. Our highly qualified lecturers and speakers provide sound and proven experience in the fields of business practice, management on time and management consulting. They hold leading positions in their field of specialization and continuously keep abreast of most recent insights.

The course contents are based on the theory of “System Oriented Management” and the “Concept of Integrated Management” developed by Prof. (emer.) Dr. Dres. h.c. Knut Bleicher. This concept is the cornerstone of our seminars, in-house events and consulting activities. Using this theoretical background, specific aspects of business knowledge can be isolated and assembled into well-structured elements whilst maintaining a clear view of the big picture.

The Management Training Weeks regularly conducted by the St. Gallen Business School in Boston (Downtown Harvard Club of Harvard University) und London et al. enjoy an ex-cellent reputation amongst professional circles providing a venue several times per year at which high-calibre managers of international corporations come together to further train their skills in the fields of Strategy, Finance and Leadership.
