Springfield College Athletic Training Day

Sunday, November 11, 9:30 – 1:30 p.m.

An Athletic Trainer is an allied health care professional who deals with the prevention and

management of injuries to the physically active. The purpose of the career day is to provide high

school students interested in a career in Athletic Training with information on: Professional

Preparation, Credentials, and Career Opportunities. If interested please see your Guidance

Service Academy Night

Danversport Yacht Club, Wednesday, November 7, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

This provides you the opportunity to visit with School and Academy Representatives. Also,

Congressional staff will be present to discuss the Academies appointment, selection and

nomination process. Academy Cadets and Midshipmen will be on hand to speak with attendees.

Norwich University Youth Leadership Conference Weekend

This conference is conducted in conjunction with the Green Mountain Youth Leadership

Conference. During the weekend participants are grouped into teams and are involved in both

classes and physical challenges. This is open to all sophomore, junior and seniors with a GPA of

2.5 or above. The cost is $75 and it is being held on several different dates. Please

Performing and Visual Arts College Fair

Boston Center for the Arts, Cyclorama, Thursday, November 1, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

This is an opportunity to meet representatives from over 130 schools around the country. This is

The Lynn Housing Authority Public Housing Association awards three scholarships to high

school seniors, living in public or assisted housing at a PHADA member agency. The deadline

is January .

The Hanscom Spouses Club offers scholarships to military dependents. The intent of these

scholarships is to support graduating high school seniors and spouses of members of any branch

of the armed forces who were activated during the 2012-2013 school year for a minimum of 120

The Henry David Thoreau Foundation selects high school seniors interested in environmental

studies to receive up to $20,000 for tuition to the college of their choice. For more information

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be providing scholarships specifically to first year

Ithaca College offers the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship. This program is open to

academically talented U.S. citizens and permanent residents from ethnic and racial backgrounds.

Salve Regina University offers the Aquidneck Island Multicultural Scholarship is available to

students committed to diversity. Applicants must be a member of the four federally recognized
