In order to get the most out of your Bert Rodgers courses, it is important to ensure that your computer meets some minimum system requirements.

System Checklist

Use the following checklist to ensure your system is up-to-date:

1. Updated Browser Version – Internet Explorer 9*, Internet Explorer 7 or 8.

• Internet Explorer 9 is required for our 14-hour License Renewal Course, where Internet Explorer 7 or 8 will work for our other courses.

To download the correct version of Internet Explorer, see our section on Browser Versions

2. Add-ons – Java, Flash Player, Adobe PDF Reader, and Windows Media Player.

• These add-ons are needed to run our course content.

To download or to check if you already have these add-ons, see our Add-ons section.

3. Pop-up Blockers OFF – Allow for pop-ups.

• If pop-up blockers are not turned off, the browser will prevent you form accessing course content; here’s how to turn off your pop-up blocker.

After you have checked these items, your system will be able to support our online courses.

press the down arrow, then select “Open all pop-ups”. Click OK to close the window.

Your Pop-up blockers are now off, and you will be able to access our course material.

While we recommend using a browser other than the default AOL browser, you will still need to disable AOL’s Pop-up and spam blockers in order to access Bert Rodgers courses and email notifications.

Turning Off Pop-up Blockers on the AOL Desktop

Step 1: After signing in to your AOL account, navigate to any webpage.

Step 2: Click Blocking Pop-ups, located at the bottom-right corner of the screen, then click Set Pop-up Control Preferences.

Step 3: In the Pop-up Control Settings window, uncheck the box labeled

“Supress pop-ups from Web sites I visit using AOL ® software”.

Step 4: Click Save.

Spam Blockers

AOL e-mail comes with a built-in spam blocker that may prevent you from receiving messages from Bert Rodgers. This can be corrected by marking our e-mails:

Step 1: With your AOL e-mail open, click the Spam folder in the My Mail Folders column on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 2: Locate e-mails sent from Imsnotifcation.com and bertrodgers.com; highlight these e-mails, then click the “This is not Spam” button.
