Overview
This document provides details of the promotional program available for the Advanced Malware Protection licenses
for the Cisco Email and Web Security Appliances. New promotional licenses have been created that mirror the
existing software subscription licenses for Advanced Malware Protection (AMP).
Structure
The new SKUs are identical to the existing SW subscription SKUs with the exception of the following:
Added ‘-PR’ to the end of each SKU
Lower list price by ~70% and 45% of the standard ESA and WSA list prices, resepctively. Example: If
standard list price for an ESA AMP promo SKU is $100, the promotional list price would be $30.
The percentage reductions vary by user tier.
See Tables 1 and 2 below for specific SKU names and descriptions.
Length of Promotion
The promotion will last until October 31, 2015. On the last day of the promotion, the promotion SKUs (-PR) will be
permanently removed from all pricelists and will no longer be orderable. At that point all orders must be placed
using the standard AMP SKUs.
Scope
The promotion applies to all AMP for WSA and AMP for ESA user tiers (S1-S15) and term lengths (1Y, 3Y, 5Y).
Placing an Ordering
Promotion SKUs are ordered in the same manner as standard SKUs. There is no need to order standard AMP
SKUs along with the promotional SKUs. Promotion SKUs are ordered instead of standard SKUs. When adding a
promotional SKU in CCW, enter the following top level ($0 license) PID:
ESA-AMP-PR-LIC=
WSA-AMP-PR-LIC=
Then enter quantity, select term, and verify the correct software subscription SKU and price.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do promo SKUs activate the same features as standard SKUs?
Yes. Promo SKUs activate the same features. They are nearly identical with the exception of price and –PR
nomenclature.
Can these promo SKUs be used for AMP offerings on the Sourcefire pricelist?
Do you need to buy standard SKUs and promotion SKUs to get the lower price point?
No. Only promotional SKUs are needed to order AMP and receive the lower price point.
Can the promotion SKUs be used for add-on orders or new orders?
Yes. Promotion SKUs can be used for add-on or new purchase orders.
Do the promotional SKUs include software support in the same manner as other ESA and WSA software
subscription SKUs?
Yes. The promotional SKUs entitle the customer to the same support that they would receive from the standard
SKUs.
Can the licenses purchased with promotion SKUs be used on WSA and ESA hardware and virtual
appliances?
Yes.
Can the AMP promotional licenses be added to existing deployments of ESA and WSA?
Yes. Promotional SKUs can be added just like the standard SKUs, can be co-termed to existing contracts, and can
be used on existing appliances.
Where are prices for the promotional SKUs located?
Promotional SKU price points are located on Cisco pricelists along with any of the existing standard ESA and WSA
software subscription prices.
Can standard AMP SKUs still be sold during the promotion period?
Yes. Standard SKUs can still be used during the promotional period.
Will this promotion be available for Cloud Web Security and Cloud Email Security AMP offerings?
Yes. A similar offer will be available for the CWS and CES product lines.
