 Visible champion of the BCM Program initiative who validates the BCM goals and objectives.  Chairs the Department’s INCIDENT

MANAGEMENT TEAM when Business Continuity is invoked.

 Champions the BCM initiative within the Department.

 Secures funding and resources for the BCM Program.

 Provides support to the BCM Program management efforts and assists with major issues, problems and approves BCM scope changes.

 Acts as project sponsor of critical business continuity projects.

 Can be a member of the Department’s INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TEAM when Business Continuity is invoked.

BCM Coordinator  Responsible  Main point of contact for the Department or Agency’s business continuity program at Head Office or a Regional Zone.

 Manages the Business Continuity Program Lifecycle.

 Assists the internal Business Continuity Teams in obtaining necessary information and resources to support the implementation of the business continuity program.

 Keeps the Executive Sponsor informed about business continuity activities.

 Support’s the Department’s INCIDENT

MANAGEMENT TEAM when Business Continuity is invoked.

 Provides training to BCM Coordinators.  Supports BCM Coordinators in completing BCM

Program tasks through individual sessions or workshops.

 Supports BCM Coordinators when business continuity is invoked in a Department.  Will lead the business continuity incident
