Guildford town is only a short

walk away from the College and

is a great place to meet friends

and enjoy some shopping.

Have something to eat in one of Guildford’s cafés or restaurants and then perhaps visit the theatre or go to the cinema - Guildford has it all! There is a Tourist Information Centre, many historical buildings and gardens as well as boating, theatre, cinema, sports, an extensive leisure centre and a huge variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs.

Guildford is a flourishing market town steeped in history and offering plenty to see and do. Shopping has never been more interesting! Visitors have a huge variety of shops, stores and businesses to choose from. From art and jewellery to cool funky brands and modern games and technology - from beautiful

boutiques to bustling markets and from smart ‘covered’ shopping centres to small independent stores.

The beautiful cobbled High Street is jammed packed with shopping possibilities and a lot of retail therapy. The town also features events and activities for everyone throughout the year.

Learn and practise your English language skills in a safe and secure environment and enjoy the beautiful countryside, British heritage, traditional buildings and picturesque sightseeing whilst you’re here!

The College provides

a warm environment

Accommodation

Your accommodation in Guildford

is one of the most important

aspects of your time here. A

good home will help you settle

into English life quickly and help

improve your language skills.

Most of our home stay providers are in Guildford or the nearby towns of Woking, Farncombe and Godalming. Guildford has a good transport system and all of these places enjoy regular bus or train services into Guildford.

All of our home stay providers are checked by the Accommodation Officer to ensure an acceptable standard of living. You will be treated as a member of the household, eating together and sharing common living areas.

One of the best ways to improve your English is to live with an English family in their home. You will have the

opportunity to get involved in everyday life, from eating together to watching British television. You will either live with a single person, a couple or a family.

I love the way they

teach, I think that

letting the students

participate in the

whole class is the best

way to learn English.

My host family is

wonderful, caring and

helpful despite the

distance that separate

me from my family, she

makes me feel I’m home.
