STATISTICAL CONSULTING EXPERIENCE
Statistical Consultant August 2016 - Present Statistics and Mathematics Consulting Center, Clemson University Clemson, SC
• Under the direction of Dr. William Bridges
• Offer missing data imputation, data analysis, model building, model selection, statistical guidance and interpretation to researchers from multiple disciplines
• Perform ANOVA, regression, generalized model, mixture model, and hypothesis testing on their data sets. Selected projects are as follows:
➢ Collaborated with a Biological Sciences professor to more accurately forecast the landings of South Carolina blue crabs
o Programmed 19 environmental conditions in the modeling platform NetLogo and over 1000 simulation runs to provide data on the population structure of blue crabs
o Implemented six different types of Design of Experimental Methods on the simulated data sets, identified the three most significant factors, and determined the strongest interaction effects
➢ Worked with a Forestry and Environmental Conservation professor to analyze the collected data from North Carolina Private Landowner Conservation Programs Questionnaire
o Utilized Likelihood Imputation and Multiple Imputation methods to reduce the impact of the missing data on the regression model for predicting interest in the conservation contracts
o Applied Logistic Regression with variable selection to pick the best predictors and used a suite of model fit criteria (AICc, Generalized R2, Misclassification Rate, ROC, AUC, and the Confusion Matrix). Identified the nine most significant predictors out of 60 farm and farmer characteristics predictors
Research Assistant / Statistician Intern January 2019 - August 2019 Data Support Core, Prisma Health Greenville, SC
• Fully funded by Burroughs Wellcome Fund
• Responsible for providing statistical consulting for hospital doctors and residents
• Performed data cleaning, decision tree analysis, nominal logistic analysis, ANOVA, and variable selection on the following protected medical data sets:
➢ Exercise Recommendation Among Pregnant Women by OBGYN Physicians at GHS ➢ Advanced Physical Exam Series
➢ The Meaning and Measurement of Nursing Fatigue ➢ Diabetic HbA1c Labs
➢ Greenville CPR Project
