Sharing this time, at this moment, here

at Price Chapel with you warms our

heart. We hope your visit here will be a

life changing and comforting encounter

with God.

At Price Chapel AME Church, our doors

are wide open in hopes to create an

environment of unity filled with love

where you can connect with people, learn

about Christ and grow in your faith.

God has brought you here for a reason. This is a place where you can

work out your soul salvation to be a blessing for God and others. All the

wonderful blessings He has bestowed upon you can be acknowledged

through great works.

So, if you are just checking out the "church scene" and investigating the

claims of Jesus Christ, thank you for allowing us to help you in your

search. However, if you are a committed Christ-follower who wants to

pursue your faith to even greater dimensions, you can find a home here

at Price Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Please call if you need to speak someone at (323) 296-2406. We’re also

here if you would like to meet with someone. To make an appointment

through email write to: [email protected].

Again, we are grateful for your company and encourage you to feel

comfortable to praise and worship in your own way. We believe the more

praises that go up, the more blessings come down.

OPENING HYMN #390

I Am on the Battlefield for My Lord

Refrain:

I am on the battlefield for my Lord, I’m on the battlefield for my

Lord; And I promised him that I would serve Him till I die. I’m

on the battlefield for my Lord.

1. I was alone and idle, I was a sinner too; I heard a voice from Heaven

Say there is work to do. I took the master’s hand, And I joined the

Christian band; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Refrain

2. I left my friends and kindred, Bound for the Promised Land; The

grace of God upon me, The bible in my hand. In distant lands I trod,

Crying sinner come to God: I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Refrain

3. Now when I met my Savior, I met him with a smile; He healed my

wounded spirit, And owned me as His child. Around the throne of

grace, He appoints my soul a place; I’m on the battlefield for my Lord.

Refrain

SCRIPTURE READING - NEW TESTAMENT

JOHN 10:11-18

(Please Stand and Read Responsively)

LEADER 11-12: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices

his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming.

He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t

their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock.

PEOPLE 13: The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the

money and doesn’t really care about the sheep.

LEADER 14-16: “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they

know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice

my life for the sheep. I have other sheep, too, that are not in this

sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there

will be one flock with one shepherd.

ALL TOGETHER 17-18: “The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so

I may take it back again. No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it

voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also

to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

(7)

FROM ALL THAT DWELL BELOW THE SKIES, LET THY CREATOR’S PRAISE ARISE; LET THY REDEEMER’S NAME BE SUNG, THROUGH EVERY LAND BY EVERY TONGUE.

LEADER: Hear what Christ our savior saith, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind.” This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

GLORY BE TO THE FATHER, AND TO THE SON AND TO THE HOLY GHOST… AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING, IS NOW AND EVER SHALL BE… WORLD WITHOUT END. AMEN, AMEN.

“Did you know that Jesus Chris is Lord? Well He is and He loves you and

wants to be your Lord and Savior. A lot of people want to be saved but

just don’t know how.”

Romans 10:9 says: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord

and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be

saved.”

Are you willing to pray the Prayer of Salvation?

Lord Jesus, forgive me for all my sins, I believe that You died on the cross,

was buried, and on the third day God the Father raised You from the

dead. Right now, Lord Jesus, I open the door to my HEART and I receive

you, into my HEART, as my Lord and Savior.

Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. James 5:15

2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Tithing means you're being obedient to God, so you should give without expecting anything in return.
