1 1. INTRODUCTION
This manual explains the general information of IP Phone Manager for MH240 for the Maintenance tool of MH240. IP Phone Manager for MH240 is application software installed in PC.
IP Phone Manager for MH240 communicates with MH240 by the IP communication or the USB communication.
IP Phone Manager for MH240 can write / read of the setup information of MH240, and can upload the firmware of MH240.
1.1. Function
IP Phone Manager for MH240 supports the following functions. Easy Setup

User Setting Network Setting

1.2. Connection procedure
IP Phone Manager for MH240 supports the following two types of connection procedures. -IP communication
MH240 can be communicated with PC that installed IP Phone Manager for MH240 by way of wireless LAN.
-USB communication
MH240 can be communicated with PC that installed IP Phone Manager for MH240 by way of USB.
1.3. Security
The login operation by account/password is necessary to start MH240.
Moreover, the function that can be operated by the authority of each account supported as follows is different.
-Constructor account -Administrator account -User account
1.4. About PC environment
PC that installs IP Phone Manager for MH240 requires the following specs.
-OS *1: Windows XP SP2 or higher
-Display resolution: 1024 dots wide x 768 dots high or higher
-Interface: USB port (compliant to Universal Serial Bus Specification Rev1.1)/ Network port
2 2. INSTALLATION
2.1. System requirements
PC that installs IP Phone Manager for MH240 requires following. It is PC in which WindowsXP SP2 is installed.
-When Microsoft VisualC++ 6.0 is installed, uninstall it in advance. -FTP Server is not started.
-The FTP server tool (Filezilla) used in IP Phone Manager for MH240 is not installed.
2.2. Installation file
Prepare the following files to install IP Phone Manager for MH240. -IP Phone Manager for MH240_Setup-x.x.x.x.exe
(x.x.x.x: It is changeable according to the software version.)
2.3. Operation necessary for installation
2.4. Installing IP Phone Manager for MH240
Install IP Phone Manager for MH240 according to the following procedures. Step1. Start up IP Phone Manager for MH240_Setup-x.x.x.x.exe
Step2. Select “Installer Language” of IP Phone Manager for MH240, and click “OK”.
Select “Installer Language” of IP Phone Manager for MH240. When OS is an English version, only “English” can be selected. -Japanese
-English
Step3. When the “Setup Wizard” screen appears, click “Next”.
Step4. Checking “I accept the terms in the License Agreement.”, and click "Next".
Step5. Checking all of “Select components to install”, and click "Next".
Step6. Click “Browse…” and select the folder that install IP Phone Manager for MH240, and click “Install”.
Step7. When the “Installation Complete” screen appears, click “Next”.
Step8. Click “Finish” in Finish screen.
-The shortcut icons of “IP Phone Manager for MH240” and “CertConv (Certificate Convert Tool)” are created in desktop.
- “IP Phone Manager for MH240” and “CertConv (Certificate Convert Tool)” are registered in the start menu.

Step9. The block of transmission/reception of the file by the FTP with the anti-virus software is released.
Please set it according to the operation of the anti-virus software installed in PC.
(Explaining as follows in the case of "McAfee VirusScan Enterprise" as an example.)
(1) Right-click the “McAfee VirusScan Enterprise" icon in the task-tray located at the bottom-right of the desktop and click “VirusScan console”.
(2) When the “VirusScan console” screen appears, and double-clicking “Access security”. (3) When the “Property of access security” screen appears, and clicks the “Port block” tab. (4) The following checks on two places in the “Blocked port” column are removed.
-The FTP reception is prohibited. -The FTP transmission is prohibited. (5)Click “OK”, and applied.
Step11. The device driver is installed.
After IP Phone Manager for MH240 starts, this operation is done.
2.5. Uninstalling the IP Phone Manager for MH240
Step1. Open “Start” -> “All programs” -> “IP Phone Manager for MH240” -> “Uninstall”
Step2. Click “Yes”.
Step3. Click “Close”.
Step4. Click “OK”.
9 2.6. Update installation
Step1. “IP Phone Manager for MH240_Setup-x.x.x.x.exe” is executed.
Please execute uninstallation when IP Phone Manager for MH240 with an old version is installed. Next, the installation is executed.
3. OPERATING PROCEDURE
3.1. Operation/preparation of MH240
IP Phone Manager for MH240 v0.32.0.0 supports MH240 v00.43.00 or later.
MH240 communicates with PC that installed IP Phone Manager for MH240 by way of wireless LAN.
3.1.1. Opening of PC port
Please open the PC port of MH240 to be communicated to IP/USB communication in IP Phone Manager for MH240.
(1) When IP communication, the state of the PC port can be confirmed by listing the terminal retrieval result in IP Phone Manager for MH240.
(2) Open/Close of the PC port can be operated from the setting of MH240. Press the “MENU” key of MH240, and MH240 displays the main menu. Select “Menu” -> “5.Setting” -> “3.Maintenance” -> “3.PC Port”. Select “2.Open” and then press the “OK” soft key.
11 3.1.2. Connected procedure of USB cable
Please do the following operation before MH240 and the USB cable connect it when USB communication from IP Phone Manager for MH240.
(1) Press the “MENU” key of MH240, and MH240 displays the main menu.
Select “Menu” -> “5.Setting” -> “3.Maintenance” -> “4.USB Connect”, and then press the “OK” soft key.
3.2. Start/End
3.2.1. Start
Step1. “IP Phone Manager for MH240” is started from the “IP Phone Manager for MH240” icon or the start menu in desktop.
Step2. Select the account logged in, and input the password, and click “OK”.
Input the password that set password of each account. Constructor password: superuser (temporary)
Administrator password: adminuser (temporary) User password: normaluser (temporary)
Step3. When the “Start FTP Server” screen appears, click “OK”.
Step4. The menu of each account is displayed.
The following are the menu of the Constructor account displays.
3.2.2. End
Step1. Click “Exit” in Terminal Setting Menu.
Step2. Click “OK” in “Exit” screen.
Step3. When the “Exit FTP Server” screen appears, click “OK”.
3.3. Menu
Each button of the menu is selected, and it changes to the screen where each function of IP Phone Manager for MH240 is executed.
The function of each account that can be executed is different.

3.3.1. How to Change the Password
Step1. Select “File(F)”-> “Change Password(P)” on the top menu.
Step2. Enter the current password in Password text box, and enter the new password in New
password and Confirm Password text boxes, and click “OK”.
3.3.2. How to confirming version
Step1. Select “Help(H)”-> “About(A)” on the top menu.
Step2. Confirm the version information of the IP Phone Manager for MH240.
3.4. Easy Setup
Minimum terminal information that enables the communication of MH240 is set. It is possible to execute it only by USB connection.
Step1. Click “Easy Setup” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.
Step2. Input the necessary items on the “Easy Setup” screen.
Connection Type: Input example when DHCP is selected
Connection Type: Input example when Fixed IP is selected
Step3. After confirming a set content, click “Start”.
Step4: After connecting MH240 and USB, click “Start”.
Please refer to “3.1.2. Connected procedure of USB cable”.
Step5. The completion screen is displayed.
If you restart MH240 to reflect the setting, click “Restart”.
“Restart”---MH240 is restarted.
“Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu. “View Report”----The report is displayed.
When “View Report” is selected, the following are displayed.
“Export”---Setup result is exported as csv file.
3.5. Terminal Setting Copy
You can copy terminal setting of MH240 to another terminal.
Step1. Click “Terminal Setting Copy” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.
Step2. After connecting the copy source terminal by USB cable, click “Start”.
Please refer to “3.1.2. Connected procedure of USB cable”.
Step3. After connecting the copy destination terminal by USB cable, click “Start”.
Please refer to “3.1.2. Connected procedure of USB cable”.
Step4. After input the copy destination terminal password, click “Start”.
Step5. Click “Finish” in Finish screen.
“Restart”---MH240 is restarted.
“Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu. “Check Data”---Verify copy data and MH240 data.
When “Check Data” is selected, the following are displayed.
“Restart”---MH240 is restarted.
“Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu.
3.6. Firmware Upload
You can upload the firmware to MH240. It is possible to execute it with IP Connection/USB Connection. Firmware that can be renewed in IP Phone Manager for MH240 is the following two files.
Boot file--- boot2nand.boot_img
Program file---mh240_xx.bin (xx: na / ph / at)
Case of IP Connection, two or more MH240 that updates it can be specified.
Case of USB Connection, MH240 can be continuously renewed though one is updated.
3.6.1. Firmware Upload (IP Connection)
Step1. Click “Firmware Upload” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.
Step2. Check “IP” and click “Next”.
Step3. Click “Browse” button and then specify the upload file. Or, enter the upload file information in full path in the text box. And Click “Next”.
Step4. Checking the MH240 to which the file will be uploaded, into the terminal search result, and click “Next”. Two or more the MH240 to which the file will be uploaded, by checking the list can be selected.
“Search”---All MH240 the search results of the connection on the network are displayed. “Direct”---The search results of the searched IP address was specifying input are displayed. “Import”---The search results of the searched IP address was reading from CSV are displayed. “Export”---The search results is exported as CSV file.
“Open PC Port”---Open the PC port of the checked MH240. “Close PC Port”---Close the PC port of the checked MH240. “Select All”---All MH240 displaying it in the list is selected. “Clear All”---All MH240 displaying it in the list is not selected. “Back”---Return to previous screen.
“Cancel”---Return to Menu.
Step5. Set the “Option”, and click “Upload”.
When you upload it at once: The check of the Start Time/End Time is removed.
When you schedule uploading: Check Schedule setting (Start Time/End Time) as required. When you specify the retrying times: Check Retry setting as required.
Step6. After seeing the upload result, and click “Finish”.
3.6.2. Firmware Upload (USB Connection)
Step1. Click “Firmware Upload” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.
Step2. Check “USB” and click “Next”.
Step3. Click “Browse” button and then specify the upload file. Or, enter the upload file information in full path in the text box. And Click “Next”.
Step4. Connect MH240 and the USB cable, and click “Start”.

Step5. After seeing the upload result, click “Finish” or “Continue”.
“Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu. “Continue”----When you upload to other MH240, you click.
3.7. Other Setting Upload/Download
Upload or Download the other setting of MH240. It is possible to execute it with IP Connection/USB Connection.
The set up information that becomes an object can be preserved in PC. The set up information that becomes an object is as follows.
Information downloaded or uploaded by the account authority is different.
Call Log (calls_data): Constructor/ Administrator/ User
Ring Tone (Download1.wav, Download2.wav and/or Download3.wav): Constructor/ Administrator/ User
Certificate (cacrt.pem, usercrt.pem and/or userkey.pem): Constructor/ Administrator
Log (log.cfg, messages and/or messages.0): Constructor/ Administrator
Tone (/tone): Constructor
3.7.1. Other Setting Upload/Download (IP Connection: Upload/Download Both)
Step1. Click “Other Setting Upload/Download” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.
Step2. Check “IP” and click “Next”.
Step3. Click “Browse” button and then specify the directory or enter in the text box, and click “Next”.
Step4. Check the target items and click “Next”.
Step5. Checking the MH240 to which the file will be uploaded, into the terminal search result, and click “Next”. One MH240 by checking the list can be selected.
“Search”---All MH240 the search results of the connection on the network are displayed. “Direct”---The search results of the searched IP address was specifying input are displayed. “Import”---The search results of the searched IP address was reading from CSV are displayed. “Export”---The search results is exported as CSV file.
“Open PC Port”---Open the PC port of the checked MH240. “Close PC Port”---Close the PC port of the checked MH240. “Select All”---All MH240 displaying it in the list is selected. “Clear All”---All MH240 displaying it in the list is not selected. “Back”---Return to previous screen.

3.7.2. Other Setting Upload/Download (IP Connection: Upload)
Step1. After confirming a set content, click “PC to MH240”.
Step2. After input the password of the target MH240, and click “Start”.

Step3. After seeing the Completion screen, click “Finish” or “Restart”. When you restart MH240 to reflect the setting, and click “Restart”.
“Restart”---MH240 is restarted.
3.7.3. Other Setting Upload/Download (IP Connection: Download)
Step1. After confirming a set content, click “MH240 to PC”.
Step2. After seeing the Completion screen, click “Finish”.
“Finish”----It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu.
3.7.4. Other Setting Upload/Download (USB Connection: Upload/Download Both)
Step1. Click “Other Setting Upload/Download” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240. Step2. Check “USB” and click “Next”.
Step3. Click “Browse” button and then specify the directory or enter in the txet box, and click “Next”.
Step4. Check the target items and click “Next”.
3.7.5. Other Setting Upload/Download (USB Connection: Upload)
Step1: After connecting MH240 and USB, click “PC to MH240”.
Please refer to “3.1.2. Connected procedure of USB cable”.
Step2. After input the password of the target MH240, and click “Start”.
Step3. After seeing the Completion screen, and click “Finish”, “Restart” or “Continue”. When you restart MH240 to reflect the setting, and click “Restart”.
“Restart”---MH240 is restarted.
“Continue”-- When you download to other MH240, you click. “Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu.
3.7.6. Other Setting Upload/Download (USB Connection: Download) Step1: After connecting MH240 and USB, click “MH240 to PC”.

Step2. After seeing the Completion screen and click “Finish” or “Continue”.
“Continue”-- When you download to other MH240, you click. “Finish”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu.
52 3.8. Directory Setting
Read/Edit/ Transfer the directory set up information of MH240 (Directory/Directory group). It is possible to execute it with IP Connection/USB Connection.
The directory set up information can be edited.
The directory set up information can be read from MH240 or transfer to MH240.

Step1. Click “Directory Setting” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.

The directory data can be edited directly from the list. “Edit”---Edit the data on the directory editor table. “Delete”---The selected data is deleted.
“Delete All”---All data is deleted.
“Import”---The directory data was reading from CSV is displayed. “Export”---The directory data is saved in a CSV file.
“Read”---The directory data was reading from MH240 is displayed. “Transfer”---The directory data transfers to MH240.
“Menu”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240 menu..

3.8.2.2. Directory Setting (IP Connection: Transfer)
Step1. Click “Transfer”.
Step2. Check “IP” and click “Next”.
Step3. Checking the MH240 to which the file will be uploaded, into the terminal search result, and click “Next”. One MH240 by checking the list can be selected.
Step4. After input the password of the target MH240, and click “Start”.

The directory set up information can be saved in a file into PC, or the directory set up information can be read from a file into PC.
When you see “Directory” tab, the directory data can save and read. When you see “Group” tab, the directory group data can save and read.
When you see “Directory” tab and “Group” tab, you can be saved and read by ”Import”/”Export” button.

Step1. Select “File(F)”->” Open(O)” on the top menu bar. It is possible to operate it from the icon of the toolbar.

Read/Edit/Transfer the Network setting information of MH240 It is possible to execute it with IP Connection/USB Connection.
The Network Setting information (Connection Target Setting/Wireless Setting/SIP Setting) can be edited. Up to 9 profiles can be set.
Moreover, the selection and the priority level of the profile used can be set. The Network setting information can be read from MH240 or transfer to MH240.
The Network setting information can be saved in a text file into PC, or the Network setting information can be read from a text file into PC.
The Network setting information edit by the account authority is different.

Step1. Click “Network Setting” in Menu of IP Phone Manager for MH240.

“Read All”---The all Network Setting data was reading from MH240 is displayed. “Transfer All”--- The all Network Setting data transfer to MH240.
“Menu”---It returns to the IP Phone Manager for MH240.

3.14. Certificate Convert Tool
MH240 can use only pem form and IP Phone Manager for MH240 can also upload to MH240 as pem form. Certificate Convert Tool (CertConv) can convert certificate form as follow.
CA Certificate: PKCS #7 (.P7B)--->(.pem) User Certificate: PKCS #12 (.PFX)--->(.pem)
3.14.1. CA Certificate
Step1. Clicking the “CertConv” icon in desktop or selecting “CertConv” from the start menu.
Step2. The changed certificate file input/is selected, and click “Convert”.
Step3. Click “OK” in Finish screen.
Step4. “cacrt.pem” is created.
If created file name is not “cacrt.pem”, you should rename the file in order to upload to MH240. Step5. When the Certificate Convert Tool is ended, click "Exit".
3.14.2. User Certificate/Private Key
Step1. Clicking the “CertConv” icon in desktop or selecting “CertConv” from the start menu.
Step2. The changed certificate file input/is selected, and click “Convert”.
Step3. The password of the changed certificate file is input, and click “OK”.
Step4. Click “OK” in Finish screen.
Step5. “usercrt.pem” and “userkey.pem” are created.
Step6. When the Certificate Convert Tool is ended, and click "Exit".

4.1. Troubleshooting
Please confirm the following when it is not possible to communicate with MH250.
(1)IP cannot be communicated.
PC is not connected with the network that can be communicated with MH240. (Please confirm Chapter 3.1.) The block release of the anti-virus software installed in PC is not done. (Please confirm Chapter 2.2.)
(2)USB cannot be communicated.
The USB driver is not correctly installed. (Please confirm Chapter 2.2.)
The procedure for connecting the USB cable with MH240 is not correct. (Please confirm Chapter 3.1.) The block release of the anti-virus software installed in PC is not done. (Please confirm Chapter 2.2.) Open doesn't do the PC port of MH240 that becomes an object. (Please confirm Chapter 3.1.)
4.2. About the CSV file read by the terminal retrieval when IP is communicated
