University Grant Varies by school

In order to be considered for all types of financial aid students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and

the GPA verification form by March 2nd of their senior year in high school. To continue to receive student aid, students must re-

apply every year, observe the March 2nd deadline and maintain satisfactory academic progress toward a degree. Contact the

financial aid office of the college where you want to attend for complete information.

At San Francisco State University, about half our students receive financial aid to help cover costs. There are many types of aid

available. Call the SFSU Office of Student Financial Aid at 415/338-7000 with questions, or visit www.sfsu.edu/~finaid.

What is TAG?

TAG stands for Transfer Admission Guarantee; guaranteed admission to a UC campus.

By participating in a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, you will receive

early review of your academic records, early admission notification and specific

guidance about major preparation and general education coursework.

The following UC campuses have a TAG with Delta College:

UC Davis UC Irvine

UC Merced UC Riverside

UC San Diego UC Santa Barbara

UC Santa Cruz

Do I qualify for TAG?

• Each UC campus its own requirements. You have to go to the UC TAG website to find

out the details. Go to http://www.deltacollege.edu/dept/transferctr/transfer.html

and click on the TAG banner.

• For Fall 2012 admission, MOST campuses require:

◊ 30 transferable semester units.

◊ A qualifying GPA. Many majors have high GPA requirements.

◊ 2 transferable English courses completed by Spring 2012.

◊ 1 transferable math completed by Spring 2012 with pre-requisite in

progress.

◊ Meet minimum GPA and major prep by the end of Spring 2012

• Criteria for the TAG are updated every Spring.

How/When do I apply for TAG?

• The application for TAG will be available online beginning July 1, 2011

• Applications can be submitted September 1 - 30, 2011 for Fall 2012

• You must also complete a UC Admission Application due November 1 - 30, 2011.
