DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0

cable modem DCM 84x0

The DCM 84x0 from Kathrein is a DOCSIS and EuroDOCSIS 3.0-compliant cable modem. In HFC networks it is used for DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS data transmission.

Equipped with dynamic 8-fold channel bonding, it achieves data rates of up to 400 Mbit/s downstream or 120 MBit/s upstream. The DCM 84x0 is available for the DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS protocol.

The DCM 84x0 enables cable network operators to offer data services to the highest level, e.g. broadband

internet up to 400 Mbit/s or video on demand in HD quality. The companies themselves benefi t from the comprehensive management functions and the already implemented IPv6 which constitute a future-safe platform for attractive, modern services.

Available variants: See table on page 5

• Easy registration to DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS CMTS without requiring any special hardware/software settings • Supports 8-fold channel bonding in downstream and 4-fold channel bonding in upstream in

conformance with DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0

• Data rate up to 400 Mbit/s in downstream or up to 120 Mbit/s in upstream

• 10/100/1000 BaseT ethernet interface (wirespeed) with auto-negotiation MDIX functionality

• Comprehensive SNMP management support: MIB-II, Ethernet-like MIB, Bridge MIB, Cable Device MIB, Baseline Privacy Interface MIB, RF Interface MIB

• Downwards compatible to DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 • Supports DOCSIS MIBs 1.0/1.1/2.0/3.0

• Comprehensive management for network operators via Confi g fi le and SNMP v3 • Support of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing

• Delivery scope: Modem, power supply unit, network cable, base • CE and ROHS compliant

DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0-eMTA/

VoIP cable modem DCV 84x0 MGCP/SIP

The DCV 84x0 from Kathrein is a DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS 3.0 compliant eMTA. In HFC networks it is used for DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS data transmission and for the provisioning of telephony services (VoIP over Cable).

Equipped with dynamic 8-fold channel bonding, it achieves data rates of up to 320 MBit/s (DOCSIS) or 400 MBit/s (EuroDOCSIS) downstream and up to 120 Mbit/s upstream. The DCV 84x0 is available for DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS protocol.

The DCV 84x0 enables cable network operators to offer triple play services to the highest level, e.g. broadband internet to 400 Mbit/s, video on demand in HD quality.

The companies themselves benefi t from the comprehensive management functions, telephone signalling options and the already implemented IPv6 which constitute a future-safe platform for attractive, modern services.

The DCV 84x0 is available in four variants (MGCP or SIP with either PacketCable or Euro-PacketCable).

Available variants: See table on page 5

• Easy registration to DOCSIS or EuroDOCSIS CMTS without requiring any special hardware/software settings • Supports 8-fold channel bonding in downstream and 4-fold channel bonding in upstream in conformance with

DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0

• Data rate up to 400 Mbit/s in downstream or up to 120 Mbit/s in upstream

DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS 3.0 IEEE 802.11n

cable modem gateway DCG 84xx/MGCP/SIP

The DCG 84xx-SIP and DCG 84xx-MGCP from Kathrein are DOCSIS and EuroDOCSIS 3.0-compliant

IEEE 802.11n wireless gateways. In HFC networks they are used for DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS data transmission and for provisioning of telephony services (VoIP over Cable).

Equipped with dynamic 8-fold channel bonding, it achieves data rates of up to 400 MBit/s downstream or up to 120 MBit/s upstream via 4-fold channel bonding. Various bandwidth profi les are supported so that the existing bandwidth can be optimally used.

In the WLAN range, the transmission frequencies 2.4 or 5 GHz can be used (model-dependent, see table). Support of up to 8 SSIDs allows set-up of several

separate WLAN networks, e.g for different device classes

or for a guest account. The DCG 84xx-SIP and DCG 84xx-MGCP enable cable network operators to offer triple play services to the highest level, e.g. broadband internet, video on demand in HD quality and telephony over two telephone connections. The companies themselves benefi t from the comprehensive management functions, telephone signalling options and the already implemented IPv6 which constitute a future-safe platform for attractive, modern services.

Available variants: See table on page 5
